Why?

Why should not people live as they wish so long as they don't hurt others? Why should people live constrained to YOUR sensibilities? Why the obsession with others' sex lives? Not getting enough?

The abortion fight has nothing to do with protecting embryos. It is about power, control over women's bodies, female subservience, patriarchal dominance, the same old shit. Keep'em barefoot and pregnant, rattling the pots'n'pans, hanging the laundry on the line, and fellating the master. And dying in a back-alley coat hanger abortion. You think that's an exaggeration? It's history, honey.

If you are opposed to abortion then don't have one.

There are probably as many women as men who are anti-abortion. What do you say about them?

I say every human of any gender or persuasion has the right to control their own body. If you don't want an abortion or vasectomy, don't have one. If you feel an abortion or vasectomy is best or needed for you, you should not be blocked. If someone else tries to force you into an abortion or vasectomy, resist!

abortion or vasectomy
They are not the same you fucking piece of shit!!!

The female version of sterilization is a tubectomy. And woman have it easier, because it's not permanent.

Abortion is the same for a man and woman, since the child belongs to both the mother and father.

The father should have equal say in the matter as the mother.

That seems like a bit much. The father doesn't carry the baby. It can even be difficult to ascertain paternity in the womb.

I'm not opposed to the idea of a father having rights to a child in the womb, but it's hard to ascertain anything that could work.

Assuming the man and the woman are a couple and the pregnancy is not the result of rape or a one night stand, they should be both be part of the discussion. So should her parents if she is a minor. However, the choice must ultimately be made by the girl or woman.

Shouldn't matter. If the child is born the man is still financially responsible.

However, the choice must ultimately be made by the girl or woman.
No, both the male and female, and only if the mother's life is in danger and there is no option to save the fetus.

Both of your scenarios (father of the fetus and parents of minors) have been debated at the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court ruled...way back in 1976...that parents of minors and/or the father of the fetus had no legal standing insofar as abortion was concerned.

You may strongly feel that way, but the Supreme Court of the land decidedly differently two generations ago.

Planned Parenthood of Central Missouri v. Danforth

Click the link. The Supreme Court said the Constitution said otherwise. I guess "Real Americans" hate the Constitution.

Are you a moron? Don't think to long, might burn out the few brain cells you have left...

The Supreme Court does not decide what the Constitution says.

It says what it says, the Supreme Court has opinions, and I couldn't care less about the opinion of nine people.

Unless you like the idea of living in an oligarchy? Do you think that was what the Framers of the Constitution had in mind?

No of course it wasn't you fucking retard...

This country was designed as a constitutional republic, made from a federation of individual sovereign states with a representative democracy.

The federal government is supposed to be so small and weak that the nation functions like a confederation instead of a federation.

The founders looked at the Iroquois League and Swiss Confederation when planning the nation.

The Framers of the Constitution didn't create and empower the Supreme Court? That's an "interesting" concept.

That is EXACTLY what they do.

As for the rest of that even if that is what the Framers had in mind and that seems probable they are long dead and that idea died before most of them did. After all the Articles of Confederacy fell apart because a federal government to small and weak to bully it's members around isn't a federal government.

Perhaps you didn't read the last sentence of my post. Others can give advice, but not make the decision.

Not to be the grand interrupters of the Constitution.

That is EXACTLY what they do.
No, the USSC is not meant to be as powerful as it is today.

After all the Articles of Confederacy fell apart because a federal government to small and weak to bully it's members around isn't a federal government.
Before the Constitution the US was a confederacy, after the Constitution the US was a federation with a very small and very weak central government. Most power was supposed to reside with the States and the People.

The Federal Government has grown well outside it's original limits, and this has caused a cultural change that has lead to State and local governments growing more powerful than they should be, at the sacrifice of the individual.

Alot of is do to the gradual power creep of government over generations, so that each new generation is born into a country were government is larger and more powerful and each new generation just accepts this as the way it is supposed to be... this is made worse by the government's takeover of education and for a long time making mandatory education in public schools.

The government controls the schools, which means they control the children, which means they control society.

To take back our country we must take back education. Public schools should be ran by local governments and should have competition from private schools, also it should be made easier for home schooling or collective home schooling.

What if parents that don't work could spend their days teaching classrooms of children in their own neighborhoods, just like when parents carpool other children for soccer games.

That way the burden of being well versed in every subject isn't placed on a single parent but can be carried by several parents.

The Supreme Court really isn't THAT powerful and they need the power they have.

And giving power to the states made some amount of sense when word traveled by horse back. In a world with internet, phones and planes it's beyond stupid.

I don't know or care what the original plan was but given everybody involved with it is long since dead it makes no difference at all.

Yeah your ideas on education are frightening. If anything we need to strengthen the fed on that not weaken them. Education is far to important to trust to random parents. That's just the way it is.

The Donald declared today that his position of the day was that women should face punishment for having an abortion. This position, like all Trump positions, is subject to denial and/or about face at a later date.

What say you?
(poll to follow)

Fuck him, and the GOP.

Being the final arbitrator of what is and isn't constitutional isn't "that powerful"?

You're a fucking moron if you think limits on communication is the only reason to keep power from the Federal government!

And by your logic of mass communications, why not have a decentralized government made up of every citizen? Everyone can get on a computer.

I don't know or care what the original plan was but given everybody involved with it is long since dead it makes no difference at all.
So because it happened a long time ago you think it is unimportant and irrelevant?

God you are massively stupid!

Yeah your ideas on education are frightening.
Because you're an insane piece of shit, any reason you'd like to give?

If anything we need to strengthen the fed on that not weaken them. Education is far to important to trust to random parents. That's just the way it is.
And here we have it folks, the piece of shit big government faggot, go suck on Stalin's cock you scum fuck!

You don't belong in the USA, this is a nation founded on liberty and individual sovereignty.

People like you should be executed, you're evil scum and dangerous.

Filth like you will be the ruination of this great republic!

Not any more than the power to write it or enforce it.

You don't belong in the USA, this is a nation founded on liberty and individual sovereignty.

That doesn't mean it has to stay that way.

People like you should be executed, you're evil scum and dangerous.

No people like him will be taking over the country and socializing it once the cold war era types die off in enough numbers.

You seem a little frustrated and upset. (Good. :D)
I'm not upset, I'm, angry, my country is being overrun by filthy rats trying to destroy it...

They want it to be a shit filled sewer, well not on my watch!

Not any more than the power to write it or enforce it.
Deciding what *is* written is the same as writing it.

That doesn't mean it has to stay that way.
To bad for you that it will, disgusting pieces of shit like you will be killed in the streets and your bodies bulldozed into pits and burned... your names will be forgotten, you will have no graves, you're ashes will be poured into the sewers and washed out to sea.

No people like him will be taking over the country and socializing it once the cold war era types die off in enough numbers.
You clowns won't take over shit, you're weak, stupid, and lazy.

To busy bitching about trigger warnings and safe spaces, to busy arguing about who's more oppressed and who's more privileged, you lack unity... just look at the embarrassing cluster fuck that happened at all the OWS and BLM protests...

You're kind are nothing but entitled twats, with no morals, no brains, and no chance... A class of people holding their hands out will never lift themselves up.

Soon, the People will destroy you all. This war won't be fought with ballot boxes but with ammo boxes!

Also, I don't believe anyone can be this stupid, which means you are a troll, welcome to ignore.

No it isn't that powerful. They have absolutely no power to enforce a goddamn thing. They can't even move until someone brings a problem to them and once something is brought to them they are held to fairly narrow corridors of action. They really aren't that powerful.

Really lack of communication is th eonly GOOD reason for a weak federal government. And the reason we don't let each and every person decide is because the average person has neither the knowledge nor the inclination to handle the majority of these issues.

It's not unimportant. History is important. But dead men don't get the rule the living.

I'm having trouble finding in the constitution where they mention abortion or fetuses in the womb.

I see that UnRealAmerican is saber rattling and spewing nonsense about the supposed coming civil war.

Don't worry, nobody is going to have to gun you down in the streets, you're going the way of the dinosaurs. It's funny that you idiots think that you're going to stage an armed insurrection though.
