I did my last beta reading.

My feedback is usually simple and right: Missing punctuation, misspelling, wrong words (pare not pair), adverb strings (much more easily), use of THAT between independent clauses, and the misapplication of passive verbs ('I could see forever', should be 'I saw').

I offer no opinions of content or subject. I read for real errors. When I report a story as OK, I mean its likely to win Laurels approval. OK is no value judgment of your masterpiece. But writers secretly want ecstasy from beta readers. Homey don't play that game....or beta read, no more.

Tell me it ain't so!

I was hoping you would beta read my 250,000 word epic space battle staring a big breasted hard charging sweet little lady that chews steel wool for breakfast and nuts and bolts for dinner as she fucks her way across the galaxy!

I bet your first suggestion is going to be shorten my sentences. ;)

In my experience most I have done this with are grateful when I say "hey, this was pretty good" but get an attitude at anything I say they might want to change.

Typical of what you see throughout the site
