I started work on a story called The Dirty Trick for April Fools, about a young woman who gets set up by another young woman for a fall, but then the trick backfires and the tricker becomes the victim. However, I may have to use it for Summer or next year because I haven't even gotten the first girls' clothes off yet. Other than that, it's coming along fine. Should be about a 5k story in Exhibitionism. It could go noncon or mind control, I suppose.

I think I'm at 2k this morning but there is a kid thing I have to do tonight and I'm supposed to go to work tomorrow. Maybe I'll stay up tonight and call off tomorrow. It's only 3k more words to go, so it's not unimaginable.

Does a mickey in your victim's drink count as mind control? Is that noncon? What if it's a drug like Molly or MDA that makes you want to have sex? Is it noncon if you were drugged and you wanted to have it, but then woke up with regrets? Just thinking out loud here. I'm sure these issues have all been discussed before, but I'm not sure of the consensus.

I don't even know about mind control. I think it's stories about magic items, or potions, but I could be wrong. Can it just be plain old drugs?

I did something like that last year 'Sisters in Sin', one girl tricks the other one into helping her, but only if she does her a favor and we all know what the favor ends up being.

ETA not sure on the drugs, I don't mess with mind control, but if it makes them want it and no one is forcing anything or being rough I don't think its non con.

If a character slips another character a drug they are unaware of, then that drugged character's rational/conscience thought process and consent is being denied. Regardless of the intended effect of the drug, if the user is unaware they are being given something, then I would suggest noncon for the category.

Technically I agree with you, but because site expectation here with non con is rape or close to it, a person willingly having sex(even though they have been given something )defeats the purpose

remember the thrill of non con is the victim not wanting it in anyway. It won't be rough enough and if the vic is like "sex, yay" it will annoy them, they want struggle and pain.

This isn't an absolute truth by any means. LC is not a big fan of non con. It's not his bag. I'm understating.

The element he describes exists, certainly, but there are several other types of readers in that category. Including those who like reluctance--that is readers who enjoy an initial resistance followed by the eventuality of sweet surrender.

I didn't think I had a story for this one, but forgot about a short and sweet story I started last year and never finished. I was challenged by AMoveableBeast to write and submit something for this contest and I did, with a lot of very valuable input from him and AlwaysHungry --thanks to both! I finished my story late (work and family sure did not help), and Laurel posted it within an hour! Thank you, ma'am! Unfortunately, despite AH's eagle eyes doing 11th hour editing, I managed to miss a dozen silly things. And then, to add insult to injury, I managed to 1-bomb my own story by leaning my finger in the wrong place on my tablet while checking the story! So yup, I'm an idiot. How appropriate - fool foolishly sabotages own April Fool's story.

I was unable to get mine finished in time for the contest, but it's going great and I should have it finished in a week or two. Maybe I'll put it into the next contest or maybe I'll hold onto it for next year's April Fool.
