Latest polls show millennial or whatever they are hate Trump.

This is completely opposite of nationalist parties in Europe that get much of their support from younger voters.

I would think that Trump would appeal to the young. Maybe they don't like the idea of restoring our industrial base or having good paying factory jobs come back.

Working in a factory isn't romantic to them like it was to past generations. Or maybe its just easier to sit on their ass at home and collect a welfare check.

Anyone who doesn't vote for Trump is a piece of crap.

Except for milenials who don't vote for Trump. They are worse. They are blobs of diarrhea.

Yep. In fact almost everyone under 40 fucking hates the GOP. The political legacy of the Reagan worshipers and Nixon dick suckers are going to live just long enough to see us socialize the USA. ;)

LOL!

Romantic? HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Fuck that...we got better shit to do.

Given that a signif. nomber of the US and european factories have already been wiped out (Eu: purposefully bankrupted by IMF to destroy the competition; US: cheaper labour in Asian countries and so on) - I don't think that will be an issue.

When i worked summers on a Ford assembly line welding f150 right rear inner fender brackets i made 6 times more per hour than my winter part time job at a jeweller.

The full time line workers, mostly Italian immigrants, made nearly twice what i made and lived in nice houses with pools in their backyards and two new cars in the driveway.

Skilled workers will become the upper middle class in the new order.

Any of you who knows an electrician, plumber or finish carpenter knows they do allright compared to some pathetic network admin in a veal pen.

EDIT: I should have read the OP, then I would have realized this was more about Trump than it is about cheap labour.

What makes you believe that would be the case?
I'm not familiar with US politics, so I might be mistaken:

He's obviously an asshole, and if what he says is not just for show, probably dangerous.
But he's appealing -strictly from an entertainment pov, and fingers crossed that he doesn't get elected- because it's nice to see someone cut through the BS political corectness and say all these outrageous things that mock the other politicians' style. I guess some people are fed up with BS politicians and sharks in suits who talk the right way but practice the opposite of what they preach.

Deep thoughts from paella:

YOSSI! She asked a question. I'm going to answer it and try to sound smart. If she would be my friend, I would be so happy. I wonder if she's seen all my posts where I said 'except yossi' because she would know I respect her. She's so pretty and nice. I wish I were liked like yossi.

The millenials in factories topic is interesting.

Certainly more interesting than Thread 26,592 on the GB in which republican greedhead haters spend two years out of every four in a psychotic lather.

Fuck, you lot are simple.

Plumbers or people who work in construction. They make A Lot of money.
Considered to be good marriage candidates by some women over here.

I've never viewed him as anything more than a smarmy con man shilling what he can to make what he can before packing up to move onto the next con. I don't have confidence that his facade would last more than a few months in the white house, if that.

I can see that happening. They are jobs that will never run out of a customer base, which will only grow in the next few generations.

True, actually.
His show -the Apprentice- and the Trump University con that he pulled are a few examples.

It's dumbfounding that he made it to that high level (candidate for presidency).

Trivia:
His "Apprentice UK" counterpart Alan Sugar - who dropped out of school age 13, makes grammar mistakes and made some of his fortune by selling electronics of poor quality + is a total shark
- was knighted by the British Parliament. They now call him "Sir".

As long as things still are made and in some cases, repaired.

I had my Rolex serviced last year; there are something like 4 certified Rolex watchmakers left in Canada....so they can charge a pretty penny.

Dude, as a network admin my base salary BEFORE promotions and bonuses was over 200K a year. BASE. Just to know how to manage NIS+/RHDS/LDAP (and later, Active Directory) better than anyone else within sight.

The problem with network admins, as with all other skilled jobs, is that there's not even a fraction of enough to go around. If every American was a skilled laborer we would still have a bunch of unemployed.

they don't wanna work in factories because factories fucking suck. sure, it pays alright, but good luck having a life while working at one.

The only people I have ever heard talk about the "romance" of factory work are Marxists.

Is Renard a commie?

There's a lot of stigma associated with Marx or those who say that they liked some parts of his work. I personally like some of the things that he came up with, but the reactions that I get if I say that aloud are not the greatest.

His economics/communist ideology were seriously flawed - almost everyone agrees on that.

But putting that aside, he also had a few great ideas. He expanded beautifully on things such as the alienation of modern man and so on.

You know I meant Karl, not Harpo, right?
