Ben Carson lost his slim chance because Ted Cruz's team chose to "misquote" a news report.

Cruz’s defiant, anything-goes attitude may help explain why his campaign workers, on caucus day, sent out an email alerting people that “the press is reporting Dr. Ben Carson is taking time off from the campaign trail after Iowa and making a big announcement next week. Please inform any Carson caucus-goers of this event and urge them to caucus for Cruz.”

Shameless ?

Cruz later tried to blame CNN for having reported that Carson was dropping out of the race. In reality, the network had merely relayed an announcement from the Carson campaign that their candidate was headed to Florida for a change of clothes and to take a "deep breath" before returning to the campaign trail.

This time around, Ted Cruz's team "misquoted" Marco Rubio.

The story mentioned by Tyler was about a video that shows Rubio walking into a hotel lobby past Cruz's father Rafael and a staffer reading the Bible, and subtitles in the video misquote Rubio as saying, "Got a good book there, not many answers in it."

In a corrected version of the video tweeted by Rubio's communications director, Alex Conant, the subtitles quote Rubio saying, "Got a good book there, all the answers are in there."

Rubio himself explained to reporters Monday that he was saying the Book of Proverbs is especially helpful.

"I know exactly what I said to that young man. I said, 'The answer to every question you'll ever have is in that book,' and then I pointed to the Book of Proverbs, which he was reading, and then I said 'Particularly that one," Rubio told reporters in Nevada.

"Cruz national spokesman Rick Tyler, who initially shared the misquoted video on Facebook, returned to the social media site late Sunday to retract his post and apologize for spreading a falsehood."

It starts to become obvious why he has 99 colleagues who cannot stand him.

Like Hillary? Now there's someone who is squeaky clean.

Cleaner than she is generally given credit for if we're being honest. When your four year witch hunt fails to come up with anything more substantial than she had emails that might have been secret it's difficult to argue.

None of her supposed classified e-mails affected national security near the level of what happened to Valerie Plame.

I remember, not too long ago actually, when busybody was hoping Trey "Boy Wonder" Gowdy would save the world from Hilary. Of course than bad haircut Trey got his ass handed to him for 8+ hours and he's sown up that hole right quick.
