Edit out personal information like email addresses
Move chat/nonsense threads to the café
Remove blatant spam advertising
And otherwise leave people alone

Trouble comes up whenever the last step is ignored.

"I joined these two threads, because they somehow looked similar."
"I thought this post did not improve the discussion, so I removed it."
