The political process in all nations is a farce, all politics worldwide are run entirely by private industry and corporate special interests on the behalf of the petroleum industry, medical/health insurance/pharmaceutical industry, big agribusiness, telecommunications companies, and the defense industry/military industrial complex.

All elections are staged, the president is a figurehead who does not have any power, democracy is an elaborate spiel.

A much advanced and evolved version of the monarchy than the US parted from. Now truly democratic with him who actually wins the election with a majority can do pretty much what he wants without having to pander to special interest or water down bills to get past an uncontrolled house of government. Where the head of state is a pure figurehead who just represents tradition and history while looking like someone's nanna or grand-dad.

Only those African states which effected Westminster Parliamentary style governments avoided falling into dictatorship after the many independences won or granted in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Good chance of a 3 party system that has better chance of keeping the two big parties honest.

I have no idea why people always make fun whenever he brings this up, because it's so obvious. Staring us right into our faces. See bought elections or TPP, for example.

It's been going on forever (a more recent version being during WW2. When the american banksters financed/provided firearms to both parties - depending on their interests at the time).
But the way technology has evolved lately (breaking barriers between cities, countries or even continents) it has extended.

We're now experiencing a new "gilded age" or something akin to a "neo-feudalistic era".
(to some degree or another, of course).

And I notice that several posters don't seem to differentiate between
- trolling done by "fun-seeking personalities, who just want a laugh" (even if they make bad or insulting comments at times)
- and trolling done out of malice or creepiness.

They lump them together and make excuses for the latter, saying they're "entertainment". Which explains some of the creepinness that's going on in the forum.

And please, stop psychoanalysing me or addressing me. Your comments in the line of "Hashtag has a humiliation fetish or Hashtag gets aroused by x" are disturbing and creepy.

You need to consider author's voice as well as various poster's motivations.

Rob wishes he was a funny as Stew. Your laughing about how he is funny is feeding that for now. Which is fine. I'm happy you are enjoying it, and that it is a more or less harmless if racially offensive distraction.

Which, by the way, is Rob's trademark and why he employs sock puppets. It enables him to revisit his racist Georgia roots while pretending to be above such things.

He made this one to troll Smooth using racially tinged tropes about dialect. Smooth didn't rise to the bait. He just happened to use it on you, got a reaction (which is what he craves) and has stuck with it.

1. Re Rob
My brutally honest answer, and he certainly won't like it :

Until now, I was trying to sound like I'm not taking sides, since it was obvious that I respect Ishmael. But gradually, I started to have my own doubts.

Turning point: Recently, I found myself involved with Rob in a so-called debate, and his reaction and it's intensity intimidated me.
It made me re-consider things, and I'm even more inclined to believe that Rob was behind the attack trolls (the ones that concerned me: because of the twisting the knife into his grieving heart, re his deceased sons and so on).
And despite our history, Que, I never believed Rob when he said that you were behind those despicable attack trolls.

Those chronic (10 years!!) resentments and grudges between political posters, the all-consuming preoccupation of certain posters, and the relentless, intense, personal attacks are quite scary imo.
I don't want to become a target too, even in the slightest, no matter what the reason might be.

And for Lefties who are reading this: I'm not a R-winger; I'm a lib in real life. I post in the conservatives' threads because they tolerate my presence, have always been respectful to me + they're intelligent and funny. Whereas I didn't get a similar treatment from some "so-called libs".


2.Re SmootG

I asked a couple of long-term posters (including a friend of Ish). They think it's StewPidd; not Rob, at all. And I'm inclined to believe that too, from what I saw this far.

Right now, this alt (whoever might be behind him) amuses me.
Should his tone change in the future - iggy from me.

A (sincere) friendly word of advice? Treat all people that you think are trolling you that way. Either laugh with them, or ignore them. Yes, I realize that is difficult, and no, I don't always do it.

It becomes fun, though when you watch how often they mention you without a word of response from you.
