I'm laying 50-50 odds

Obama and Clinton are classic liberals who play the innocent victim by blaming others for their misdeeds.

I've said that for years, the Progressive liberal (Socialist) wants to saddle the individual with a charter of negative liberties (like the way I turned the Obama viewpoint of the Constitution there?) in order to protect him (and yes, I am old-school, that means her too) from the harm done by the pursuit of happiness. Oh, yes they agree in the Liberty to do anything you want to do that does not harm another, but, they don't trust you not to harm another, so they have to have lots and lots of laws and regulations to "protect" Liberty. To them (and we've seen it posited within the last week or so), the simplest solution is the best solution, so they never explore what happens as a result of their nurturing and protective altruism. So, since they are good people and of pure intention, if something went wrong, then there was a saboteur, so to speak, a bad guy, a villain.

Therefore their enemies are those who believe in the charter of negative Liberties on government. And because these people refuse to let government make the world a better place, they are evil and want the exact opposite of the altruist; e.g., altruist wants a pristine environment, anyone who doesn't agree with their regulation wants total pollution.

#DerpDerpDerp

Reagan, Bush, and Clinton did not have to deal with the Bush recession coming into office, nor an obstructionist Republican party abusing the filibuster and dedicated to the proposition that "Better Murica to fail than a Negro president to succeed!"

RR had the Carter malaise and 18% to deal with

Bush II had teh Clinton DotCom and Clinton 911 to deal with

Straw man arguments are the backbone of liberal debates.

We know what Adre's entire schtick is and it is never the topic, because discussing an issue might leave you open to criticism and/or judgement and that would endanger the false sense of omniscience that he possesses, so he appoints himself the Lit Liberal Gadfly...

The apologists are so damned transparent and consistent.

What the hell does the economy of SEVEN YEARS AGO have to do with the economy now?

One might posit that the underlying philosophy of the ruling class is that of John Maynard Keynes.

Guess you didn't see my post about the Republicans fighting the recovery every step of the way.

And as far as "SEVEN YEARS AGO" is concerned, I'd point out that you and you alone clung to "but...but...Clinton!" for the entirety of the Bush regime.

Of course, when YOU do it....that.....That....THAT'S DIFFERENT!

Oh, the irony from the guy who has posted my pic about fifty times. (Creepy, but true.)

From the other thread...

What if stupid and irresponsible was actually on purpose; to cover herself up when caught?

I mean, there's a reason all of that shit was "erased" when the Benghazi committee subpoenaed her emails. She thought she had all of that buried from the light of day and was acting pretty cocky and confident, just as when she hid the Rose Law Firm billing records. Has there been anything proven in a court of law to the point of a criminal conviction? No that requires proof beyond any doubt. Has the threshold for civil proceedings been met? I would say yes.

I would say that in the court of public opinion, people are beginning to judge her and her actions and more, than less, are finding that she is probably guilty, and it just keeps getting worse for her.

It amuses me when people say, "They haven't indicted her, you have no proof, it's wishful thinking, there is nothing here...,"

;) ;)

That's like saying, The Broncos did not lose the Super Bowl, because Peyton hasn't choked yet.

:D

Hell, the game is yet to even begin.

Same for this case.

It takes a real genius to call for a recession every eight years or so. Because, you know, recessions are real black swan events.

"No one has called long-duration treasury yields better than Lacy Hunt at Hoisington Management. He says they are going lower. If the US is in or headed for recession then I believe he is correct."

Google "Lacy Hunt" folks.

She is one of the original "doom 'n gloomers". She can find a black lining in every silver cloud.

If the Chief had a functional nutsack, he'd be begging her to have his children.

You should read that.

A good Austrian dismantlement of the whole QE experiment that not only failed, but failed miserably while the Democrats were on watch...

THEN! they have the temerity to go on and on about income inequality when it was the Federal government that bailed out Wall Street and the auto makers before going on a spending bender with money they did not have!

But, by all means, LET'S HAVE MOAR!!!

(That is so much fun to say and do! :D :D :D )

AJ continues to parrot the discredited Austrian school party line.

He's very selective about the reality he accepts.

Well, seven years ago when some of us said the Federal government was doing the wrong thing that it would not lead to a recovery, only more misery and recession, the true geniuses of the board, present company included, called us names and accused us of being idiots.

So stfu useful idiot and hard-core partisan shill.

Cash for Clunkers

lol

Cash for Flint to upgrade its water supply...

lo-fucking-l

All Progressivism seems to create is pre-crumbling infrastructure.

What you don't understand, because you live in books rather than real life, is that recessions happen notwithstanding the actions and policies of governments. Business cycles and such, boom and bust. So you were not prescient seven years ago. And, btw, I was not here.

No, idiot. I understand that and discuss it with authority. It is not the predicting of the recession, you fucking economic illiterate, but what the efforts of government will do to prevent market correction, thusly setting up for the exacerbation of the next recession.

AND, the number you are looking for is not EIGHT!

THAT is just partisan apology.

5-15 years

Here, we have the unusual occurrence of a Liberal proclaiming that scholarship is inferior to "real world experience."

Learning bad...

Tell me Adre, which economy have you been in charge of?
