I think that General Board posters make it clear that giving gratuitous offence is still permissable and not discouraged.

The standard of debate in the GB can be very childish, e.g.

Again you fail to understand that it has nothing to do with the forum, it's you. The GB is used to asshole and trolls, the AH, not so much.

Anyway, at least on the AH you're dealing with more than four people with a dozen alts apiece.

It's really frustrating when writing a story that involves anything interracial. I mean if we all lived in the color blind utopia where race never mattered, then we wouldn't need to have a tag for interracial, would we? Obviously the racial differences matter, and it would be a much more boring place they didn't. They change things, whether it be to inspire more arousal, more hate, more love, more passion, whatever. It matters. And if you want to really get into a character's head about why it matters, there is almost always something there that will offend you, if you are the type of person that likes to get offended.

I think this must be heterosexual interracial stories. I don't see any race-issue specific backlash on the GM interracial stories.

You just don't like basic truths coming back at you. And I'm quite sure that you cite (and personally attack) TxRad and me more than either one of us cites you. I agree the fact a black man with a white woman-and face it that's 80% of the stories here-is still considered taboo by some in this day and age is ridiculous.

The fact the white woman is usually portrayed or trashy somehow because she's awith a black man is pure racism as is the perpetual persona of the demeaning thug many black men are shown acting like, especially in cuck stories.

Having said that, its a kink and people are entitled to it, but I love how they deny the racist themes that drives it.

Lit itself is not PC/anti PC its the readers that are.

A mature individual could understand that if a character is written as a racist or is ignorant or a d-bag he will say nigger or other racial slurs. That's called realism and I repeat an adult can accept that. Only a whining PC moron would leave comments screaming the author is racist.

And we have some here and we also have many that just take it for what it is.

But the fact we live in a world where people are calling our founding fathers racist and everything is racist and old books should be rewritten etc...I'm not surprised.

It wouldn't be just in what the character said, though. It would show forth in the outcome of the story. A story can, in fact, be racist. I don't think I've seen any of those on Lit., but I could see where they'd be permitted and then the readers who would be upset by them should just be adult enough to take responsibility for their own needs and perceptions and stay away from them--or bomb them, it they wish.
