These were people I'd gotten to know. Not all of them were roleplaying real life desires, but I learned quickly and well that not everyone who does sexual roleplay online is precisely what I'd call sane, and some of them wanted to do things like cut on themselves while they roleplayed, etc.

On Lit there's a prevailing attitude of just tolerating everyone's kink because it's all fictional and all cool. In roleplay you meet people for whom things are much less fictional, and some for whom it wouldn't be fictional at all if they could arrange it. You ran into people, not many but a few, whose kink was in no sense ok and represented untreated conditions. I also met a lot of real life rape victims, people who had retreated from real life sexuality. Many of them roleplayed rape almost constantly. I also met incest victims, and I don't want to set you in particular off with how those conversations went; suffice it to say there are reasons I hold the attitudes I do about anything incestual. They generally made the rape victims look well adjusted.

I haven't engaged in that stuff for years, but I learned a lot there. Some of it is stuff I wish I didn't know.

I've had underage rape victims living with us on a short term basis, while more permanent shelter was arranged, my wife is involved with teens and women who have been abused. In their case all I have seen is them waking up screaming and scared shitless

At that point it became impossible for me to see rape fantasy as arousing in anyway-that and having a sister who was raped years ago-so I feel nothing but hate towards the fetish.

having said that I am well aware that some rape victims seem to try to purge it somehow through role plays and fantasies, its like the reverse reaction you would expect.

I teach a self defense class to victims of rape and domestic abuse, over the years a few women have had a sort of transference with me, seeing me as more than they should see me, not healthy, but I get it.

many women who have been abused put themselves in that spot by being attracted to the bad boy type which in reality is not the romance cliche sensitive bad boy. I have a lot of bad boy attributes even at my age now. Tattoos, fuck you attitude, swagger and a a nasty temper I've showed in demonstrating some of my better moves with an opponent.

I had a woman tell em a couple years ago she'd dreamed of me several times, awkward enough, but worse when she leaned in close and said, "You were taking me hard, hurting me and I was loving it."

That shook me, I had to switch classes after that. But its common, fucked up, but common.

Edited to add I am not ignorant of what real life incest entails and what it does to people and its not sexy, its not the far fetched consensual over 18 fantasy it is here. Trust me in real life I'd be first in line to cave in a guys head for diddling his damn daughter or son. But whether that reaction is because its incest/child abuse or rape I don't know...
