What makes someone an authority on what an american is?

Usually just being a citizen makes you an American. Some people think you gotta do more but it's unamerican to think so. The whole point is that we can do whatever we want. People just want to be superior. Let them have it, it won't matter in a hundred years.
 
If you need a 12 gauge to take on a goose, you're a real wimp.

10 ga is often the go-to gun for geese. Lots use 12's but they can be somewhat unreliable with geese especially if using the wrong load.
I've found many stick to the 10 and are happy with it but switch to the 12 for duck because ducks are little bitches.
 
12 guage, no 2 BB, does a good job on them

10 gauge handle the recoil better and fires the BB and BBB shot needed to bag one. Considering that a deer can be done with a .410 (slug mind you). Heavy fowl loads and shotguns need tells a lot about the toughness of a goose.

But try stand before one coming at your head unarmed, equal fight. Takes an awful tough nut to not to cringe and duck.

There are a lot of threads today about how ____ isn't american.

I'm curious as to what the credentials of these posters are.

They go through the same accreditation program as those who say:

Muslims are
Christians are
White people are
Black people are
Gays are

The political bickering never ceases to amaze me. One side says, "You fuckers do this!" They don't realize that their side does the exact same type of thing, yet somehow it's righteously justified. Or it's not a big deal.
 
I always figured Snake was the better American. He loves guns, hates the President, thinks NYC is a hellhole, perfectly happy with LA falling into the ocean and has the name Snake.

Anyone born in the Americas or in overseas territories of American nations is an American. Mexican, Hawai'ian, Galopagean -- but not Falklanders.

Anyone born in USA territory or who has at least one USA-citizen parent is a USA citizen. Anyone naturalized is a USA citizen.

Not THE defining characteristic. But it can have a bearing on morals, ethics, beliefs and education. All of which are very much defining characteristics.
 
I'm pretty sure being born in the US and/or born to US citizens, plus a handful of other situations, makes you a US citizen, commonly referred to as an American
Obviously atheists can't be American according to Eyer-the-liar, even if they believe in natural rights.
