Duh, it just occurred to me.
There are more than 70,000 writers who have written stories on Literotica. That's a lot of writers and a lot of stories.
When I wrote as BostonFictionWriter, I was the 15th most favored writer. Now that I write as my real self, SusanJillParker, and under my real name, I'm the 21st most favored writer. Not bad when I've only been writing under my own name since 2012. Not bad when I'm one of the minority of women writing anything on this site.
This is what just occurred to me. I'm not just the 21st most favored writer but I'm the #1 most favored erotic writer on the site. It's true. Moreover, I'm the #1 most favored female writer on the site. It's true. I am. How about that?
When I look at the list, those ahead of me who may be deemed more erotic writers than pornographic writers, no longer post stories on Literotica.
When I look at the list of those writers ahead of me, they write more pornography than they do erotica. I only write erotica. I don't write pornography.
Imagine that, a writer of erotica on Literotica and not Literpornography who has been voted up to the 21st place. How about that?
I'm not only the #1 writer of erotica on Literotica but also I am the #1 female writer.
"Yeah me!"
And out of more than a million stories on the site, my story, I Love You, Mommy, that I wrote under my WmForrester name was not only the most read story in 2010 but also is still holding strong on the all-time most read list in 60th position with more than 2 million hits. Not bad for a female writer of erotica.
I would have had two more stories in the top ten most read list but I pulled them to publish them. When I pulled them in 2007, they had 850,000 and 650,000 hits respectively. I can't imagine how many millions of hits they'd have 8 years later.
It makes me feel better than not everyone who reads stories here wants to read pornography. Some readers what to read erotica. Some readers want to read a real story that has a plot with tension, developed characters, description, imagery, and dialogue.
"Go Patriots! Go Brady!"
On their way to 16 and 0, can you say undefeated? Can you say Super Bowl?
The Patriots are on their way to their 5th Super Bowl win. It should have been #7 Super Bowls won but the other two teams that beat them were lucky.
