Armed Robber’s Family Complains He Was Shot Too Many Times

So essentially an unarmed man was shot during an attempted robbery. I don't see any reason why ehs shooter shouldn't be charged for what will be a five minute trial where he almost definitely walks.

He brandished what he claimed to be a firearm. Therefore he was NOT unarmed in the eyes of the law. Fuck him, fuck his family, and fuck the reporter. Just bury the habitual criminal and be done with it.

How long do you wait when someone is pointing a gun at you to determine if it's real or fake? Do you wait until they shoot you so you know it's real, then, if you're still alive, it's ok to defend yourself?

As tor the Washington Post article, they are no more "pushing" the robber's family's story than the Daily Caller is.

Him being a habitual criminal has no bearing on anything here. The only things that are important are the things directly related to the shooting. I'm shocked you have such little faith in your system.
I don't. I shoot him. I shoot him immediately. I then go to trial and walk away after a jury finds me not guilty. I make absolutely certain he is dead, even all he had was a rubber chicken so that at the trial there is only one story to be told mine. But not having a trial is absurd.

I wouldn't shoot someone for brandishing a rubber chicken.
In this case you'd have to also kill the store clerk plus any other customers in the store and destroy the security video.
Why is it absurd to not have a trial when the police, and possibly the DA, have determined no crime has been committed? Do you realize how much more clogged the courts would be if there was a trial for every hint of a crime?

Barrow was killed instantly by Oakley's initial head shot, but Hinton reported hearing Parker scream as she realized Barrow was dead, before the shooting at her fully began. The officers emptied all their arms at the car. Any one of the many wounds suffered by Bonnie and Clyde would have been fatal.
According to statements made by Ted Hinton and Bob Alcorn:
"Each of us six officers had a shotgun and an automatic rifle and pistols. We opened fire with the automatic rifles. They were emptied before the car got even with us. Then we used shotguns ... There was smoke coming from the car, and it looked like it was on fire. After shooting the shotguns, we emptied the pistols at the car, which had passed us and ran into a ditch about 50 yards on down the road. It almost turned over. We kept shooting at the car even after it stopped. We weren't taking any chances."
Researchers have said Bonnie and Clyde were shot more than fifty times; others claim closer to twenty-five wounds per corpse, or fifty total. Officially, parish coroner Dr. J. L. Wade's 1934 report listed 17 separate entrance wounds on Barrow's body and 26 on Parker's, including several headshots on each, and one that had snapped Barrow's spinal column. Undertaker C. F. "Boots" Bailey had difficulty embalming the bodies because of all the bullet holes.

I believe the shooter was justified.
However, I agree that the Washington Post is not taking a side but covering the story completely and without judgement, whereas the Daily Caller is commentary attempting to stir up controversy.
