The evil rich, so railed, against can do fine with any monetary policy so long as they know what the rules are and how long they can play for. The unwashed masses will never understand that all of that monetary policy created wealth comes directly at their individual expense.

I get the idea if it was in anyway feasible to reverse that to 39.5% Ryan would be game and the above would hate that. I won't bother with the fantasy of balancing the budget or doing any more than servicing the debt.

The contortion would be annoying because it deals primarily with overcoming decades of focused and concentrated propaganda from the government and Hollywood to smear socialsm.

I could run down the entire list of clearly socialist programs that benefit us all. I could point to every country outscoring us in education how much better paid and treated their educators are and how much easier it is to acheive higher levels of education. But I think the Tea Party summed it up nicely with "keep the government out of my Medicaid." Ignoring the blatant impossibility of that statement even the most hard core anti-tax people in the country are socialists.

So the contortion would be annoying because the libs in charge would have to (both because they are cowards and Americans are stupid) have to find ways to claim this isn't socialist or that isn't socialist instead of saying the truth. "You are all socialists as were your parents and your parents parents and their parents parents parents. Lets worry about what actually works and not what Stalin may have done."
