It did not seem to be a priority when he had the support of both the House and the Senate, either. It also wasn't on his list of priorities when he appointed two Supreme Court Justices.
But now, law abiding gun owners need to submit to the harassment of various governmental agencies because he has to "do" something. Even if it means absolutely nothing. No law, other than a fairytale outright ban and confiscation of all firearms would have prevented any of the shootings that he exploits simply to castigate his enemies. Even with a ban, a gun is hardly the only option available to a mass murder bent on killing people.

The POINT of his calls for "sensible legislation" is about firing up the King Oreo types in his base for the 2016 election. It has nothing to do with who was shot and when, and by whom. He doesn't care at all about that. He doesn't even actually care about gun control. He knows that nothing could possibly be passed and if passed would stand constitutional scrutiny.

The really smart posters here get their words from th ObamaBad see n say. The pointer is on "guns," they pull the string, and the recording about the scary black man taking away bitter clingers guns is played.
Doesn't matter what is actually being said. Doesn't matter that I just pointed out that not only does he not care about restricting guns, he knows it cannot be done.
They "know" what the "correct" response is on the gun control issue and they are delighted at any perceived chance to display their "knowledge" of the issues.

Except that's bullshit. A gun is really the only realistic option for a mass murderer. Most people lack the skill or tools to make effective explosive devices and you're not going on a mass murdering spree with a sword. Well you might but I'd let you try.
Something as simple as holding the owners of guns liable if they are used in murders would potentially have prevented two of these shootings.
Seriously stick to the truth. We don't care if people die we like our guns. I do too but I don't sit here pretending there is nothing we could possibly do to improve things.

There was a guy in China two or three years back with a knife with like twenty wounded and zero fatalities. And I was informed of another one I believe in 2005 where the killer did manage to get seven or eight fatalities. (They were small children but still death is death.)
I'd still welcome people to run around with swords. Less concealable and ultimately less deadly. I can outrun you. . .maybe. . .possibly. It's been a while since I've ran. . .but Usain Bolt isn't outrunning a bullet so my point holds even if I was a chubby little butterball as wide as I am tall.

I finally googled and there have been a couple sword attacks and at least one case of a guy defending a woman from an attacker with a sword. Interesting to see these days as most swords are fake and worthless as weapons but these guys went out and got some good ones. I can respect the dedication.
As for out running them, I'm gonna try to outrun whatever is coming at me. I probably won't make it but it gives me a better chance than remaining a stationary target. Carson sorta had it right except he said to rush in the wrong direction. Going at the guy is just nuts.

going at the guy isn't bad if you're a borg. The reality is he shot Chris Mintz 7 times. That's six people that didn't get shot. From a purely "the herd must survive" mentality having three guys get shot seven times each and eat up 21 rounds. . .well that's better than 21 separate fatalities.
Granted in real life people miss and not every bullet wound is fatal but still.

Ben Carson says to do exactly the opposite of what the FBI says to do. Now I don't think the FBI is right about everything but I think they know more than most on such matters. At least more then he does. If we want some advice on how the universe was created we can go to him and...oh, wait.

So if someone kills someone with your kitchen knife, you should be liable?
Also, bombs aren't that hard to make... neither are guns for that matter.
9/11 didn't happen with guns. Neither did the Oklahoma City bombings. Should we pass laws against driving trucks and learning how to fly planes?
Banning guns in any variation will do very very little, especially in the age of 3d printers.
I haven't heard a sensible solution from you yet to a problem that you think exists.
Can you please lay out what you feel the issue is?
