Ok, so I thought it would be cool to have a discussion thread about talking dirty. What turns you on? What turns you off? What specific terms do you like to hear/read? That kinda stuff

To start things off, what terminology do you like to use when you're talking dirty with someone? What are your favorite euphemisms? Do you prefer the word cock, dick, rod, erection, or something else entirely? Ditto for pussy, slit, cunt, kitty. Do you like naughtier words or softer, cuter words?

Let's take some time to get into each other's heads so we can better get into each other's pants!

doesn't that take away from some of the excitement of finding out all that good stuff on your own, in private with a person?

I'm just picturing two people talking dirty and they're like, "oh, let me look at the notes about this person to make sure I say everything they like."

Are people really going to take the time to keep notes on the ladies or men of lit? Yeah I know you can stalk and find out what they are into, but not everyone would be able to turn their dirty talk into what that person might like.

I prefer dick to cock, but even if I tell someone that, they still say cock. It's habit and I am adaptable to what other people do or say.

I like pussy as well over anything else.

Cunt has always had a negative connotation put upon the word and it's almost taboo in a way to say it. Lol

I see what you mean bigwoody8, and yes the thread could be used in that way, but not any moreso than a "share your fantasies" thread, I don't think. I'm not looking to create an encyclopedic resource on the verbal turn-ons of every Lit member. Just looking for some discussion on the subject.

For instance, I really like the word cock, but I feel like I use it too much and it starts to feel repetitive even to me, so getting some general consensus on what other words women respond to would help get me thinking in other terms. That kind of thing.

For me it's not so much about the specific words said as much as the scenario... My boyfriend and I do foreplay while discussing one of several scenarios about which we both fantasize.

The dirtier the better! I find the softer, cuter words to be a little off putting. Sex is an adult activity, so I prefer the grown-up words.

I actually like the word cunt when it is used well. I'm pretty much okay with every dirty word you can think of except those that are truly degrading (i.e. cum dumpster).

I think I definitely tend to skew towards the dirtier stuff, and it really works for me - but I definitely try to get a read on the other person. Sometimes it just changes with their mood. Sometimes they want it really rough and filthy, and other times they want it softer and more romantic, and I try to use more flowery language.

I've never really enjoyed soft euphemisms like "manhood" or "love tunnel" or things of that sort, though. So what I find exciting is to shift gears from what I'm "doing", which is established, and start focusing on what I'm thinking or feeling, trying to add a more authorly touch to it. Then when things get dirty again it has a little more impact than if I had just been filthy the entire time.

It's easy to be explicit and depending on the back and forth it can get repetitous to see the same words used again and again. When reading a story I like it when men can create more of a mood with subtle references. You can be explicit to change the mood, so it is not just descriptive but helps with feeling as well.
