Heading in for my 40 year old physical tomorrow which means the old finger in the ass. What should I expect. Should I be scared or excited??

Depending on which state in which you live, new guidelines require the insertion of an ultrasound wand. After you see your asshole on the screen, your doctor will have a conversation with you about butthole and whether you want it torn out.

Nice.

I had one last weekend. More a massage actually, with a special device. It was quite enjoyable. The nurse said I seemed quite healthy.

Don't worry, it feels better than you might imagine.

If your doctor puts his hands reassuringly on your shoulders during the exam, you probably should have gone with 'excited'.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaah! Warrior Queen! You're so bad! :D

It's no big deal, really. Just remember that it's an important part of a health exam that can save your life if the doc finds anything wrong.

Smart of you to care enough about yourself to even make this appt.

It's over with in 30 seconds.... Here's to good health! *clink* :)

You should have picked a woman doctor. Slimmer fingers.

You've got nothing to worry about. Anything suspected can be double checked with a PSA bloodtest, and triple checked with a biopsy. Prostate cancer really is very easily treated if noticed early.

My father in law was diagnosed with prostate cancer scarily late (he thought the tiredness and pain was only age) just before it spread to the bone, treated for that, and he's still enjoying a full life over 10 years later.

If he goes in more than finger deep, you'll know there's a problem, but it won't be with your prostate.

If you are feeling a little embarrassed at the prospect of droppin' trousers, maybe wear a kilt to the appointment.

Oh Aglaopheme!

GORGEOUS photos!!! Thank you so much!!! I didn't get much of a view here in Austin. :(

Too many clouds. However, thanks to you and other's, there were some FAB pics posted! Love them!

BTW...would you mind if I referred to you as "Aggie"? I love the name and it is so much easier to type than your full username?

If you'd rather me not, or even have a better shortened version in mind, that's cool. :)

You've been on here long enough now for all of your fans to have a nick for ya!

;)

I'm so damned embarrassed.

I'll try again

Well, come to think of it...maybe it was the thought of the full moon that confused me. Har.
