And interestingly, for our american friends, this is a world series where a number of countries are invited to participate and compete to determine the best team in the world for this particular code.

Yes, sorry, I should have elaborated for the uninformed but you forgot to say "this particular code" means a sport that includes speed, hard (and I mean hard) tackles, strategy and great team work at the level of world competition. BTW I fully expect your country's nat. team to win........again. :D:mad:

And yet no Defending cup holder has ever won it - and NZ, though they are clear favourites may well meet their former nemesis, France in the QF.

Here's hoping... but two in a row will be difficult.

I'm kind of worried Fiji will trash England. Hope not, it'll be a rotten thing to happen for the host team. :(

what kind of rugby? it matters because certain kinds of rugby are fucking boring.

How to respond to the Fijian haka: Have 80,000 people sing Swing Low, Sweet Chariot.

You have to feel for the Fijian winger that dropped the ball two inches off the deck.

Never heard a team sound so down in the dumps after a win! They don't quite look like the demolition team though huh?

Nope. Too many errors, too many turnovers. Be interesting to see how the Aussies do against Fiji.

They should have performed much better against Fiji. If that is England's best they are going to get thrashed by Wales and ...
