All I know about her is that she was posting some really weird stuff like "Obama is a dick" "You Obama slaves or wellfare slaves" and so on , but when she dropped that crap and engaged in a normal conversation about college access and affordability - she came up with really good ideas.

I was cautioned by PoppingTom against engaging with her because she's done some weird stuff in the past. But when I pushed for details, everyone became vague and ducked for cover. THAT was also strange.

I agree with you that her political views seemed pretty nasty (I'm unable to comment on the ignorant thing because I'm rel. unskilled in that domain).
And I had a similar experience: when I talked to her (outside of politics) she seemed curteous amd appropriate.

I agree Jen was friendly as a writer, I had a few conversations with her. I also think the political views were exaggerated. She was a shit stirrer who always got the jackals to bite.
