He kind of pulled another loop from somewhere so there was a loop for over my head/ round my neck. Seriously, I dislike the way these look in general, for the way I decorate...but...I might have just been swayed to have a few of them. We have four windows in what will be our 'master suite' ( I hate that term too...bedroom/ bathroom that we will use...where did suite come from in homes? )
And maybe they all need lots of elaborate window dressing?
As for international delivery...next month you say? I am sure we'll need some thing else by then. Our life is a never ending sequence of DIY. We really, really need to do the ceiling in the dining room soon and get it plastered ( but that means having the plumbing and electrics re routed first..........( we cannot do either)
Plastering is extra, just so you know.

Wonderful! I live in a [appropriately] curmudgeonly old house, too.Shhh, you don't want to do my plastering. I am weird about plastering. I won't let plasterers use to things that go on corners to make sharp edges...I want the edges done by eye, to be an honest attempt at straight that might not be achieved. I live in an old house, sharp edges are not desirable. In some bits I go beyond that even and have totally soft corners, rounded off.
I pay for these sort of details when it comes to decorating....with no 'top of wall' and edge curving into ceiling where does the ceiling colour change for example? ( easy answer...paint ceiling same colour if ceiling is high enough/ vaulted...let shadow take care of things).
And this weekend we have learnt the joy of wallpapering wonky walls and cranky corners..
