Today it's finally happening...

In an hour I'm off to the Dental Clinic to get my new dentures in my upper jaw.

I'm so excited!!! :nana::nana:

It will change my life in so many ways, not to mention my self-confidence.

(I'll be at least three inches taller than I already am.)

I'm not doing anything. I'm grounded.

And I am sure it will do you the world of good.
Now, you have a very good reason NOT to re-arrange your furniture and bits.

That's very true, HP. Rearranging is not on the approved list for sure.

"I'm Melting! I'm Melting!"

Not really, just sweating my ass off and not in a good way.

At least the yard work is done for little while.

What is meant by the term "Yard Work", please?

Anyone want a few summer showers ?
We got lots. . . .

Yard work is picking up down limbs, cutting the grass, trimming up with the weedeater, blowing off the sidewalks and the carport out, watering and tidying up.

More or less. ;)

It's only 87 but the humidity has the feel like temp at 94.

You mean "tidying up the back garden" ?
Oh. I know a little of that.
I even mow my own grass these days.

With a half acre, I have a front garden, a back garden and two side gardens. :D

Not to mention the 50+ acres of woods behind me. Those are natural for the most part.

So are you, for the most part. ;)

How ironic that the journal my son grabbed to bring me in the hospital is the same one that started my collection back in 2007. With a black leather cover and cream colored pages, I saved it for something special. Although this wasn't what I had in mind, it fits.

I guess it does, at that.

Today hasn't been a good one.

The heat, though temperate by US standards, has been too much for my medical conditions. I have managed to do very little and have been skulking indoors while others enjoy the beach across the road.

We went shopping this evening for essentials such as bread and milk. Even that was difficult for me.

Tomorrow there are local events that I want to go to, and I should be there to show support. Whether I can? That depends on the temperature.

The middle of next week will be very difficult for me if the weather forecasts for high temperatures and humidity are right. I have essential appointments on Monday and Tuesday. I hope I can make them. They could be rescheduled but my diary is so full that I would prefer not to.

Getting old is irritating.

I'm itching to write, but I'm so damn tired.

I have the will, but not the ability when lethargy makes my body it's home.

Aww, sorry to hear it, Ogg.

I was at a work do this weekend. The most sleazy of the bullying line managers was of course there (it's his job) although silly line manageress was absent, still apparently off sick. Nobody seemed to know - if asked they said: "Oh yes, she was supposed to be back," like they hadn't really missed her.

Sleazeball manager even tried to sit next to me at lunch and speak to me! but I cut him dead. He looked miserable and sorry for himself the whole time, and snuck away after lunch on the first day.

New nice line manager stayed all weekend, was very friendly and told us the interviews for new teaching contracts have been held over till the return of silly line manageress - so that Sleazeball won't be part of the interview panel. (She can tell us that but not write it of course.)

Yayyy! So good to get to go to these things, and not have to feel anxious about seeing Sleazeball and patronised by him! So glad I took out my discrimination case!
