There is no booze either good or bad, but drinking makes it so. I'm looking at you, tequila.

And on a school night. At my age I should know better. Bad decisions all around.

Great reference, though. Nicely done, especially in the midst of a tequila daze.

If only today's economists were so succint. He's entirely right, of course, as he usually was. If he'd had his way about the ICU at Bretton Woods the world would be a vastly different and better place.

I fail to see many of the putative benefits of modernity— finding a substantial number of them to be highly exaggerated.

One exception is the advent of easily accessible weather radar. In summer, I find that I no longer have a need for professional weather forecasters.

There's precious little in either the "dismal science" or life that is certain. The widespread desire for "one-handed economists" is directly analogous to the desperation that leads to theism.

Serving UK leftovers to American children, now.

"...given that the rights to the [Clanger children's TV series] series have already been sold across the world from Japan to the United States. (In America, Star Trek's William Shatner will narrate.) Who better for quality control than Peter Firmin himself? It was Firmin's fertile imagination which first designed and crafted the Clanger puppets in 1968..."

If it was 1968, American children would be served Michael Palin, and like it!

I wish I could overhaul how utility companies process their payments. I spend more time fixing their fuckups than I do managing my own jobs.

I was not afraid of the schools, I was afraid of what was tracking them.
There is a reason why night swimming is not wise.
All of those village fishing piers were active, and the sharks still visit.
New England stingrays are snacking, far away from the shore.
I learned that I could back pedal with my flippers, slowly enough not to startle.

As big as a large coffee table. Stinger as big as a machete. ohfuckohfuckohfuck
Should have paid attention! Learned my lesson.

It's Tax Day.

Don't forget to send those quarterly estimated tax payments in to your state and Big Government.

Did you get stung?

I can't decide which is more exhausting...the job that pays my bills or staying home and working on the house.

Maybe different types of exhaustion...mental versus physical.

The worst day of coming off of overnights, is the first day, I want to sleep so bad, but have to force myself to stay awake.
