I don't know you, I assume you claim to be a newb so that's cool but what part of those of us who AREN'T following her around the board like rabid dogs and still wish she would just shut up already have anything to do with her being our target. She's not my target. Personally I wish those who can't stand her put her on ignore and stop giving her the attention. She's stated several times that she's enjoying it and I can't help but be disgusted at the way so many keeps supplying her with it.

Normally I am now just a lurker with not much to say or contribute. But every day for the past few weeks, the same threads keep getting bumped. And bumped by the same person.
Personally, if there was a thread about me and not shedding me in the greatest of light
1) I would address it once 2) After doing so, let slide through the cracks of Lit.
It comes across to me as either not quite normal or constant attention whoring.

The special snowflake rub here is that, even if you remarked once in the thread about you, deep-sixed it in your own lane and subsequently went on with your life to make or post in other threads with a more casual, lesser frequency, there would be two to three members who would constantly troll you on a daily basis in order to "slut shame" you into quiescence and hopeful pariah status.

Not just any lil' ol' trolling, mind you, but deliberately engage in a pathological dirge and not do or be about anything else.

We call that having a neurosis. Like, Bellevue grade shit.

Now, given the spectrum of humanity's finite time on this slightly opaque blue marble of ours, how sad would it be if one of those proud Don Quixote trolls out on their windmill jihad or five-year mission had a sudden heart attack and kicked the bucket, with their very last post being the same cookie-cutter bullshit screed that they've been cutting and re-pasting for the last six months of this year alone?

That'd be purty sad, wouldn't it? So sad, I'm starting to tear up jus' thinking about it!

i'm a fairly well-balanced, non-reactionary individual not given to knee-jerk judgements and like to understand a situation as fully as possible before making my decisions on such serious matters. if, after asking for clarification, i'd have remained doubtful then my personal judgement of her would have been absolute.

reasons: because reci and i weren't strangers but friends, and the way she originally presented the story didn't mesh with the kind of person i'd found her to be, i took the step of contacting her to ask specific questions. anyone who's seen me post here for years should understand my loathing for the crimes of paedophilia, as evinced by certain threads i started. i'm not a simpleton, and, although i like reci, if i'd been left feeling one iota of doubt then i would have ceased all contact with her. she answered me simply, no dancing around the topic, and what she told me made sense. it wasn't dramatic, it wasn't torrid or dressed up in any way. and i respect the fact she refuses to apologise for her actions which she feels benefited the boy by getting him away from the sexual arena he was inhabiting and into the relatively harmless one of killing things in true gamer fashion.

because i wasn't all ready to believe the worst of her without fully evaluating what was said as well as the tone used; and knowing she's a damned good mother and protective towards the vulnerable; and knowing she enjoys stirring the pot as she plays with words; all these combined with her straightforward responses to my questions led me to a reasoned and reasonable belief in her not being the sex offender some are determined we all should believe. there are 2 things that form a big part of my character: i hate injustice, and i believe in looking at all sides before drawing my own conclusions.

i took the time to ask, i listened, i formed my opinion.

I appreciate your well thought out response and the rationale behind it but I will never believe the revised story. Never. And I can't help but think that those on this board who still interact with her positively are doing so because she can be witty and knowledgable, not because she's a good person. It feels like people are willing to ignore it as long as she's interacting with them.

I think enough lies are told about other posters on a daily basis that some people just automatically think something like that is false.

Her crime was minor, albeit a crime, in my opinion. Slightly worse than a 18 year old having sex with 17 year old where 18 is the age of consent, but not close to the evil definition of pedophile that comes to mind.

My thoughts are probably a bit of a double standard, because I would certainly feel different if the genders where reversed. I would also feel different if she where in a position of power, say his teacher.

I just plain didn't like her, then I read her original story in the Crimes of Passion thread and subsequently watched her laugh off her behavior, revise her story, claim all sorts of things only to go back on those things a few months later. Now I despise her. I don't know you, dude, so whether something you say applies to me or not has no substance. You're welcome to think whatever you want to.

I'm not surprised that new people would glom onto her, like I said: witty and verbose, but those who've lived through the KarenKrafts, the KRCs, even the Graces, those are the people who confuse me.
