He promised to “repeal every word of ObamaCare”.

Since the POTUS doesn't actually have the power to repeal federal laws... he'll have to find a way to work with Congress (and gooooooood luck with that). At Liberty University, he asked the students to imagine the president signing legislation repealing "Obamacare". If President Cruz were to live up to his promise of a limited government, I'd imagine he'd be sitting at his desk... twiddling his thumbs and toes while Congress "worked" to come up with something for him to sign.

He promised to “repeal every word of Common Core...”

Again, I'd love to see him live up to the promise of not issuing Executive Orders (fat chance of that happening).

He promised to secure the borders (but also to make sure that America is “welcoming to those who come to achieve the American dream”).

Secure the borders... how?

He promised to defend the Second Amendment.

How?

He promised to "honor the Constitution... and under no circumstances will Iran be allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon.”

If he plans to honor the Constitution, I'd love to see him spin this one.

He can enact a new law

Congress will have to legislate a new law for him to sign.

And if the States don't roll back standardized testing?

.......Enforcing current law

That doesn't answer the question: What is Ted Cruz's definition of enforcement?

........he has to do NOTHING....its THE LAW

No kidding (see above).

........what does this have to do with teh Constitution?.

Point out the powers, in the Constitution, that the POTUS has to prevent a foreign nation from developing nuclear weapons.

I'll wait.

I have no great affection for Cruz and, if it came to a contest between him and Hillary, I don't know which one I would vote against. This would be one of those times when I wish "None of the Above" were an option.

By himself, regardless of what Obama wants to do, the POTUS cannot pass or repeal federal laws, but Cruz would be able to pass his program on to Congress. Filibusters would be possible, but there are ways to overcome them.

Common Core should be a state option, and the pres. can instruct DOE to allocate the principles to the several states.

A border fence was started some time ago but never finished. Work could resume on this until it was done. It would not be 100% effective, but it would certainly help. At the same time, immigrants with something to offer, including a strong work ethic coupled with education, would be welcome.

Liberals, including Obama, would love to make an end run around the Constitution and effectively repeal the Second Amendment, but he is saying he won't let that happen.

Except that the POTUS is the C in C, he would not be able to prevent Iran from getting nukes. However, he would have a great deal to say about it if he has the stomach to do so.

Personally, I would rather neither happen, but I would prefer bombing the shit out of Iran over allowing them to have nukes.

The Common Core State Standards Initiative IS a state option. They came up with it, nobody is forcing them to use it. In fact, several states have refused to use the Common Core Standards and have instituted their own programs.

It's sponsored by the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and seeks to establish consistent educational standards across the states.

Jesus Fucking Christ... You morons have been told this shit hundreds of times yet you still act as if this is some sort of mandatory federal program.

As for the "end around repeal the 2nd Amendment"... almost eight years and the only talk of repealing the 2nd has been from Henny Penny double digit idiots trying to scare the pants off of low information types.

For the record, I've never been a fan of the way standardized testing has been implemented. Too much pressure is being placed too fast on too many people, both students and teachers alike. We seem to be moving further and further away from content tests, while placing more of an emphasis on incredibly generic (and oftentimes absurdly difficult) standard tests that only focus on one or two "skills".

And your point is?.... You aren't going to vote for him anyway...

The guy is a fucking moron making promises he can't keep because he doesn't have the authority.

That is to say bunch of sound good lies coming from the RW again LOL

He promised to “repeal every word of ObamaCare”.

If some (D)'s dont get out and vote (R) is going to take total control of the US government as possible. US could go full bore Westboro in 2016...

I hope all the "ACA = job well done nothing else needs to happen we got ROMNEY CARE!" fucking retards get what they have coming.

I listen to INFOWARS like the word of god and believe every RW conspiracy theory I hear.

We know box....we know.
