I think this is an indication of the dawning of the Age of the Geek.

We Gen X-ers who so loved comix, D&D, video games and computers are now in our 40s with disposable income and therefore can rule US move culture.

Maybe so, but the comix we grew up with are the story-boards for hollywood and the thought games we played define the stories behind the best video gaming of our day.

I was reading comics when your father was just out of diapers. Please review the statistics. Baby boomers still hold the majority of wealth in the US. And I wore my "original" Avengers (Hulk, Antman, Thor, Ironman and Wasp) to the opening of the movie on Thursday.
