Right next door to New Hampshire is Vermont, home of Howard Dean and Bernie Sanders. Two states highly comparable in size, geography, population, population density, economic base and regional culture, but divergent in political culture, NH being all "Live Free or Die!" and VT being something like a Euro or Canuckistani social democracy.

And you know what? From all I've heard, things in general go a lot better in Vermont.
