Nah when you think of it, fraternities and gangs are the same. They have secret handshakes and signs just as we do. They have initiation, just as we do. Paperwork to show members, togetherness, morals and rules (Just as we do). It's not the gang that turns someone into a criminal. Truth be told, he was a criminal before he joined a gang. It's principals, cops and correction officers that are affiliated with gangs. Do you know why gangs was created? Okay, similarities in comraderie and brotherhood. Yet, one group ends up in prison or dies young while the other graduates college and has the frat for support. There are always exceptions to the rule, but as long as we're making sweeping generalizations.

Without gangs most of the people here will go to jail and die younger. Look at Philly for instance. Philly doesn't have many gangs, but yeah a high crime rate. It's where the frat and the gang is located that makes up the statistics. But they are really the same when you look at it.
