You can always hope they break, if the wind is bad enough.
We used to have 'em. They were pleasant in a light breeze, once in a while.
Took 'em down. Noisy fuckers.
I used to have various ones up, but I no longer have a porch to hang them in...and I have people all around me now.
Some things are hard to get used to and my lack of privacy for hanging my chimes is one of them.

If that's the worst it ever gets?
I have a set of Tibetan prayer bells hanging just inside my bedroom window.
They have the most beautiful sound....like water dancing over rocks. Because they're inside, my neighbours don't really hear them.
You could always sneak over and cut them down .
Yeah, that would be considered vandalism, trespass & destruction of private property. Getting caught could cost big money in legal fees & fines.
No sense of humour ?
Wow, Humpty made a post that wasn't about me.
windchimes are good for your spirit. I would suggest that you learn to meditate and plan your daily practice to align with the rhythm of the wind.
....and yet you feel compelled to appear in it. How is that?
It was top of my first page, Humpty. I just found it amusing. Not like you, bumping hours or days old stuff just to have a pop. But there again, you're...you.
