Lol yeah that's where I am right now. I mean in MY bed, that is.

Oh wait, gotta do laundry. This is gonna be fun. Lol

LOL thanks for clarifying *peeks under covers*

I need coffee now. Have fun with the laundry, I should probably do some, but I know I won't lol

Haha yeah it's rainy and shitty outside. So I have to walk out into that to get to my complex's laundromat. Yay.

Hello Texans!

I'm thinking about taking the fam to Galveston for the spring break weekend, any recommendations? Last time I went there was couple of decades ago :)

Thanks,

Hello Texans!

Thanks,

Let's see Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, and Sunny Beach are the regular spots I hit. I usually just go skim boarding or surfing though.

Have fun!

Pleasure pier not what your hoping either. I was disappointed. I have enjoyed going to Stewart Beach. Seemed like a ton less seaweed

There's plenty of other things away from the beach too if you want a break from it - shopping on the Strand, touring the old tallship Elyssa, the Ocean Star, browsing the old Victorian homes in the Silk Stocking district, plus a couple of the mansions, the Bishop's Palace and Moody? Mansion. Swing up to Kemah/Clear Lake, which is better than the Pleasure Pier. I'm sure there'll be concerts and things going on for spring break, too. Take a look at the Galveston website.

^^ I haven't been to pleasure pier since it opened, heard it went to the craps already. Like Jenny said lots of fun shops to go to, but I just like to be out on the beach and bake.

I think they have a start park in Galveston as well? If you want to do something like that.

Thank you all ladies :rose:

We would need to hit the beach for sure. Geido's was the seafood restaurant to go to a long time ago. We'll probably check that out as well. I am going to check those recommended spots and find out if there is any interest on the kid's side! Thanks again

Benno's on the beach is yummy. Seafood good and the desserts too. I miss the key lime pie

I'm not sure if I've been there since right before Hurricane Ike, so wasn't even sure it was still there.

I was there a few days after hurrican Ike... it was not something you want to see...

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

I was busy looking at my own house then, which got sliced in two and smashed by a big tree. Houston itself was like a war zone too. I never saw Galveston & the island in person during that time, just pictures and video. Really an upsetting time.

It was really sad to see. I got asked to go for work to check on one of the locations on the seawall. That really sucks to hear!! I live in Houston to, that wasn't a fun time.

No, it wasn't. I'm in DFW now, and I'm not sure which I like less, hurricane season in Houston, or winter up here!

Morning everyone! Have a great Monday :)

When LittleSister gets on here is the story

I seriously need a tan...

Kisses to everyone
