Hi to the fellow Phillies fans!
I am not too far from their spring training down in Clearwater. I used to go down to their games, but it has been about two years since I went. I do love their mascot. He's such an ass. He represents their fans well.
I remember when the Rays and the Phillies were in the World Series a few years ago there was an article in the newspaper when they interviewed people before the game. The Rays fan said something like, "It's going to be a great match up and I hope our Rays pull out the victory."
The Phillies fan response was so amazing... "Fuck Tampa."
Hahaha. That sums them up so well.

Yes, Philly sport fans are a crusty bunch. I am proud to be one of them, but only for baseball. My one and only claim to fame is a clip on ESPN where they show the phanatic playing with my hair at a game shortly after the new stadium opened. To this day I still regret not getting his number.

The fans are amazing. It's so funny to me how serious they get. Baseball is the only sport I care about. But I don't have the time to follow it like I would like. I usually only catch them if they are in the playoffs. Which lately, isn't looking so good.

A few years ago he launched a t-shirt my way.
But a bare-chested phan intercepted my gift en route.
I can only assume that said fan was more deserving as he was bare-chested at the time.
The Phanatic made it up to me the following year when I was selected as one of the 'Citizen's 7' at a game. I still have the crappy backpack and mini baseball bat pen.
