Laurel Move The Political Thread

THIS POST WAS PREPARED BY GERONIMO APPLEBY AND HIS HAND PICKED TEAM OF BRIT FAGGOTS AND SAILORS

You forgot us Brylcreem Boys!

The discussion was on the General Board about whether to start a Politics Board or not.

Using the Politics Board is optional. All political threads do not have to be moved there. It is the poster's choice.

I hate it when this board has a thread that evolves into a lot of vicious angry posts. And politics and religion are two subjects that can get that way.

I dislike Sarah Palin AND LIT has a place for political opinions about her.

I usta belong to the local astronomy club. It was good till someone invited a religious nut to speak.

Read ogg's post and calm down. The doctor says it's bad for you.

She ain't gonna move it because, like others here have said, people can post wherever they want and you can read it or not.

You must not be around much, because threads are being moved around by mods here fairly regularly.

Not enough to notice. Guess she's not standing by her statement of not moving political threads, then. Or maybe mods, not her, are moving them around.

I haven't seen political threads moved (I, thankfully, haven't seen many political threads on the AH at all lately--which I was happy with, but which you lot apparently are now going to bust open), but your statement I reacted to wasn't narrowed to political threads.

What I find sort of amusing now is comparing posters who now are happy to see political threads on the AH to the same posters not wanting that in the past. I presume it's only because they doggedly are against anything I support here.

I agree with sr71plt that the AH is better without the mass of political threads there used to be, but one humorous thread isn't worth arguing about.

What I am concerned about is the next Presidential election. I think that there will be political threads in all the Forums in the months before then.

There weren't political threads on the AH during the last U.S. presidential election (in stark contrast to the one before that)--and there weren't because we were discouraging having them here, enough posters wanting a politics-free forum somewhere they could play in that was actually relevant to the Web site. You lot are throwing that open now, though.

Ah, a range of threads. I don't care if political threads are on the AH or not. And I'm not busting anything open, not sure why you would say that. My comment was simply restating what Laurel had said.

You get from a forum what you're willing to put into it. I don't use Laurel as a gauge, since her demonstrated interest is in GB bantering with mainly inane drones who contribute nothing to the site in terms of product.

But they kiss her ass, show her kitty pics and giggle at the word cunt.

When we start to do that here, maybe we'll get somewhere.

Theyre bored and afraid to be eaten alive at the Politics Board. I voted in favor of the PB because its where politics should be unless someone wants to know more about writing like Thomas Paine or Abe Lincoln.

The Politics Board is the place for people to shout at each other from their entrenched positions.

Reasonable discussion of political issues seems to be homeless, on Literotica or on the wider internet.

Well said Ogg.

In the old days, when JBJ and sr were still a figment of our imagination, the AH was a buzz of debate. Not party political, just personal takes on issues. Before the AH descended into a children's playground, the incisiveness of guys like Cloudy, Stella Omega, Amicus, Belegon, Colleen Thomas even Trysail, made the forum vibrant and addictive.

In those days we were polite to each other!
