Why do you stop having fun once you get older?

I called some of my friends and said since we snowed in let's make the most of it. Let's have a tackle football game in the snow like we use to do when we were younger. We can play each other or play another hood for money. I don't think school is today so we could even get the kids involved. Sounds fun right? Well why every punk mofo I called said no. What else better can you do? People get older and just act old.

They probably just don't like you. If I called everyone I know and each turned me down, I'd certainly conclude the problem is me.

nope. they're obviously pod people. this is just the beginning. we are all doomed.

DOOMED!!!!

Maybe they don't want to get snow down their britches.

Shrinkage, you see.

Got to keep up appearances fo' dah bitches-n-hoes, yanno.

Also, getting hit when it's cold is a lot less fun, and when you're a tad older, it hurts longer. But I'd be game.

That's not it. They just got boring thats all. I'm cautious about who I be around. They're no squares in my circle.

I didn't retire from fighting until I was 42.

My heart did finally force me to stop having too much fun.

Playing football will bring the bitches and hoes to us. But we are all still in our 20s, they could take a hit. I just don't want to sit in this house all day and do nothing. I need a good 10 more people like me and you, and then I got a game.

Good luck.

Keep asking - you might get there.

Sadly, I live 300 miles away and have too much work to do - and need to get after it.

Haven't you heard?

20 is the new 40.

;)

You had to make room for all those 40-year olds who think they're the new 20...

My group has pretty much the same hobbies we've always had... which is why I've cut most of my hangout time down to like 3 people. Sometimes people's interests change. In my case it was my interests that changed, but sometimes friends naturally grow apart. It's nobody's fault, you just mature differently and have different concepts of fun. I wouldn't want to play football in the snow. Or... ever. Because that activity isn't fun for me. It's cold and miserable and I would have to move and stuff. But it's not that I don't want to have fun. My definition of fun is just no longer playing in the snow, because it's not a big deal. The novelty has worn off.

Football in the snow is better. You could play tackle. If you play on the streets it's just touch or wrap. In the snow you can knock someone head off. And once you start running you will warm up.

We never really played football. Ky is a basketball kinda place. And you need a flat surface to play that. I think I've played football maybe... twice in my life? But I'm also not built for it.

You play basketball?
