Happy Friday morning Litezens! There is a hint of relief in the air as many of us are coming up on a 3 day weekend. Sorry to the rest of the world for not celebrating Dr. King. You racist bastards.

How much are you willing to share on Lit? Are there things you keep sacred? Things you don't share with everyone? Are you all out there? Or are you selective in the details of your personal life? How often do you let people in?

On the threads, just insignificant little things. In messages I tend to share more, and with friends I'm pretty much an open book - if they ask. I don't volunteer a lot of details but when someone cares anough to ask I'm open. And honest.

I keep many things secret. I don't need any stalkers from here freaking me out. Been there, done that. Not fun. The thought of having anyone from here on my Facebook seems completely odd. I'd just never do it. I keep Lit completely separate from real life, though, so that's what makes sense to me.

I have trusted a select few with more details, but they're few and far between.

When I started my pic thread, though, I realized that I became less vocal. *shrugs* I don't know why that happened, but I feel more anxiety about opening up on the threads than I used to. I have a few friends here that I have on FB. And some of those have my phone number, too. For some odd reason they're all women. I've also spoken to a couple of guys who are my friends.

I've met a few litsters IRL, too.

That would be wonderful, if more people posted in the threads. And yes, their experience on Lit would benefit almost certainly.

2)I don't find myself going back on other threads to see what I have missed.

Some people I'll tell when I am away for a while, I also tell I in a post am going on a holiday.

Since the people I have exchange PMs with would know I am away, I don't find (many) messages asking where I am.

On a very few threads (mainly this one and the RPs I am in) I try to catch up, others I take as they appear. Meaning I might read the last page before I post, but not more.

Of course this thread gets quieter when we know you're not in residence, Chained. Some may think that posting here is just using this thread to seek attention in the PG, or to generate interesting debates when presenting different points of view, but all some of us really want to do is tell you what you want to know. All our inner most thoughts...

I had an couple of recent absences of sorts with vacations without access to wifi. Phone data plans are ridiculously expensive here and, with limited time and access, I avoided threads predominantly featuring pictures and gifs. Someone did note that I'd stopped commenting on images, so it was nice my absence was noticed in some way. When I have gone away from here, for other reasons, I think it best, for me, to leave things in the past, so I don't tend to try and catch up. And I'd be reluctant to comment on posts from days ago.

Sometimes I catch up here with comments on a few topics from recent days, but often there's too much of a sense of things having moved on. My PM box has not been troubled by any of my absences.
