The US has not decisively won a ground war in a foreign country (except perhaps for Grenada) since the end of World War II.

We have spent trillions of dollars, and no victories to show for it. In fact, there usually is no goalpost for "victory" at all. Just endless intervention, endless money thrown into the military-industrial pit, endless slaughter of civilians by our bombs and guns, and ever more animosity toward the US around the world.

Its time for the US to come home, stop meddling in the affairs of other countries and regions, and stop waging unnecessary aggressive wars around the world.

I agree.

I'm sure the shriveled sacs will be along to explain how wasting the lives of American troops makes us look weak tho.

It may be time for Rand Paul. So much the better if it pisses off Vetteman.

Let me get this straight. You want the next war to be fought right here at home. Got it.

What happens over there eventually affects us here, so it is our business. To think we can just ignore what happens over there only shows us to be morally bankrupt. Maybe you can ignore your neighbor trapped in his house while it's on fire, but I can't.

The problem is not getting involved, but, rather, going in thinking that part of our exit strategy is to leave behind a duplicate of the U.S. there. We're not nation-builders. We're the paramedics. You stop the slaughter, you stop the mayhem, you install a new government and then you leave the people to their own devices.

Grenada a ground war? What foolishness.

Instead, use Operation Desert Storm to automatically invalidate your premise, which in turn, of course, tarnishes the rest of your amateur offering.

Paul played his usual, strategic isolationist hand when Daesh first started making headlines, but he has since fully sided with President Obama's current course of direct military confrontation.

Paul, in fact, is now aggressively attacking Rubio for being the "isolationist" on the matter.

Not really....DS is how it should be done.

They messed with out peeps, we spanked them, they left and so did we. Fucking perfect....what the hell happened? Now we shower them with cash and prizes for playing target real good.

So why the RW push for ANOTHER 11 years circle jerking Halliburton and taco bell in that shit hole?

Why does the RW insist we involve ourselves in this specific rash of shit and not any of the other fucked up situations in other 3rd world shit holes run by whack jobs?

Only 2 answers man.

1) military industrial complex/defense contractor welfare....not shockingly majorly RW.

2) Crazy Christian holy war.....again, not shockingly, majorly RW.

I think there is a little bit of both going on because they both get their bottom line. If you disagree then go ahead and point out the other bottom lines and ID exactly who benefits from this continued jerk off bullshit military action in the middle east while ignoring a laundry list of other atrocities against humanity. That is to say stow the whole "to stop the bad guys because go go power M'uricuah" bullshit, because I'm not even buying it. It's not about stopping the bad guys, it always has been and always will be about money/power. So who's getting paid and who's pimpin' who?

Because it's not for natural resources or the forced servitude of the people in some capacity.....the only thing the general US population gets out of it is a giant bill we can't pay because RW sayz fuck paying bills we don't need no stinking taxation, because so much personal responsibility. Just MOAR WHARRRRR!!!

Are you an alcoholic or a druggie or both?

Are you an alcoholic or a druggie or both?

Deflection. Every time the subject of war in Iraq comes up you fuckers always squirm and worm and "BUTT BUTT BUTT POT HEAD!!!" hard chargin' bullshittin' when it comes time to get to the bottom fuckin' line.

Who is paying for all this shit??

Who has been making the most money off of OIF/OEF?

Who benefits the most from continued US military action in the middle east? How does this investment make life in the US better?

Are you an alcoholic or a druggie or both?

I ask because the way you seem to so effortlessly go totally off on these tangents completely of your own creation implies artificial help the likes which can usually be traced to chronic substance abuse.

Neither. How about you?

You ask because you have your head up your ass and you're a presumptuous cunt.

But maybe I read you wrong, are you not in support of continued US military action in the middle east?

I'm betting you pull a good ol' vetty and dance the fuck around that one endlessly.

No doubt I was definitely a child of my time: drank, smoked, snorted, and popped my share, but none stuck once I actually grew up.

Not presumptuous, just analytic. And now, after not having to read very many of your past posting history at all, I find I was spot on: you're a chronic pothead.

But maybe I read you wrong, are you not in support of continued US military action in the middle east?

I am fully in favor of no continued US military presence in the middle east, just as I am also fully in favor of absolutely no continued foreign $$ aid at all to other nations of the world.

Although, since I also sense you don't actually read too much of what someone actually writes before instantly going off on your own irrelevant tangents, I almost feel ashamed for even mentioning the above.

I'm betting you pull a good ol' vetty and dance the fuck around that one endlessly.

Better luck next time.

So define 'actually growin' up' ??

Are you implying that I have yet to grow up?

Not presumptuous, just analytic. And now, after not having to read very many of your past posting history at all, I find I was spot on: you're a chronic pothead.

Wow you're a real Sherlock reading that hard into it, you sure it wasn't the flamboyantly stoner page I have up??

And it's medical marijuana patient ass hat, not chronic pothead. The doctors note and legal backing from the state came with a change in title. ;)

My my my, you just made yourself for a socialist liburhuhl commie around these parts.

But that's a good thing, kudos.

No I read, that's just you being a presumptuous cunt again :D the shame is your own hang up and I don't understand it. But I can tell you that if you're trying to play the centrist roll don't bother, the RWCJ has you pegged a commie already.

Better luck next time.

Touche.

Total failure?

I completely disagree. We have yet to devise a more efficient and effective way to transfer wealth from the public sector to the private corporate coffers. And with a majority of us poor saps actually cheering for it. Fucking brilliant if you ask me. The only problem I see is that I'm on the wrong end of this shitstick.

Are we also "morally bankrupt" for not intervening in Africa?
