Throughout his testimony and post-shooting interview with detectives, Wilson emphasized the size disparity between him and Brown. He tells detectives, "never at any point did I have control of him. I mean … he manipulated me, while I was in the vehicle, completely."
Wilson, who testified that he is 6'4 and around 210 lbs, told the grand jury that when he tried to grab Brown, "the only way to describe it is that I felt like a five-year-old holding onto Hulk Hogan." However, a previous GoFundMe account sponsored by Wilson supporters raised more than $235,000 before abruptly closing its donations in early September. His attorney, Neil Bruntrager, announced Saturday that Wilson would be stepping down and his resignation would be effective immediately, the Mail reports. In his resignation letter, Wilson said his presence put the residents and officers of Ferguson at risk.
The Mail reported last week that Wilson could have a $1 million “war chest” from online fundraisers held by supporters. One woman who started the fund drive told the news agency that she has been the subject of threats.
Wilson, who was on paid leave since the Aug. 9 shooting, has not racked up large legal fees because his lawyers were all from the police union and the Ferguson Police Department likely covered the cost of hiding him until the grand jury decision was announced, the report says.
There were reports that he had been paid up to six figures for his first television news interview after the grand jury decision, but Wilson strenuously denied the claim, saying he "wouldn't jeopardize" his integrity for money, the Mail writes.
Further, Julie Townsend, a spokewoman for ABC News, which nabbed the first interview, told Richard Prince's Journal-isms, "We do not pay for interviews, and we did not pay for this interview. Period. "

I see the thread had turned into another bitch fest re. Brown et al. The Martin/Brown/Garner incidents are mere blips, symptoms if you will, not causes. Is "White Privilege" more a reflection of the American black burdening themselves with perceptions of society? Blacks that immigrate here from other nations don't seem to be burdened with these notions. They really want nothing to do with the indigenous black community and prosper here. And in their prosperity there may be a hint that this is a cultural issue that the American black has to struggle with.
To me the description of "White Privilege" is nothing more than free men exercising their liberties in a free nation. The notion that these so called "privileges" should be removed from a segment of the population is a case of "Igor's Goat" writ large. Reverse discrimination. Retribution. This is a failed philosophy for a minority to embrace. A negation of liberties that ultimately will only rebound back on them. A negation of the goal of a color blind society. A reinforcement of the trend of self-segregation that is already problematic. If "White Privilege" is indeed as described in the wikipedia entry then it should be a goal to aspire to, not something to be removed.

Let's use the wikipedia definition as a baseline.
Then let's talk about your assertion that the black community as a whole is responsible for the conduct of its members. Notice how you single out the black community for a standard that you exempt the white community from. (and by the way, if you feel the white community IS in fact responsible for the conduct of it's members, please tell us. One would think that'd run counter to the Gospel of Bootstrappyness and Rugged Individualism you preach, but ideological consistency has never been one of your trademarks).
If you hold the black community to a different standard than you do the white community, which you appear to do, please explain to us how that is NOT a textbook case of "White Privilege".
