Some of it's out there, lots of it simply isn't . And this would be about how to properly use the healthcare system, not what needs to be done but explaining why it' cheaper to this instead of that. People are amazingly poorly informed on these things or in many cases spent so much time without that they never picked up traits they didn't have anyway of using.

My motorcycle wreck was (obviously) going to be someone else's dime. Even while I hassled with their insurance, the hospital more or less insisted I sign up for indigent care, for which I qualified but had declined to get. It ended up that I paid my entire bill myself out of my fairly modest settlement. I could have fobbed it off on the state. This was 1986, so I imagine that hospitals are even better at getting that Medi-Cal or in my case Access dollar.

You vastly overestimate the knowledge of people if you think this knowledge is out there and well known. The ad campaigns have given zero information about anything but product placement.

Doctors used to tell people not to smoke and to eat right, sometimes it takes decades of drilling shit into people's skulls before they get it. I'm sure hospitals have gotten better at doing their jobs properly yes.
