Ominous prediction indeed.

Why can't we do the What Pizza Was When Obama Took Over Dance instead?

More lively steps and twirls with that one. :D

I'm sorry, I started it when I asked "Where is the huge energy price increase that Obama promised".

Because nobody knows the steps to that one. Myself included. Is it two stesps to the right, shimmy shimmy or step to the right shimmy, step to the left shimmy?

Icwutudidthar...

Did existing policy cause it or did it exist before he got here or is it all his fault?

The short answer is yes, the long answer is yes and yes.

That's a relevant and well stated argument for eliminating all of our regulations.

Not all... There are some really good pollution regulations, it's the carbon stuff that bothers me.

For instance, why is it bad for a nuclear plant to put steam into the atmosphere? Sure it changes the ecology downstream of the warm water, but is that a bad thing?

Granted the only promise I saw from him on that was as response to if coal couldn't get it's shit together but he seems to have failed.

Stupid cynicism. How does carbon dioxide hurt the atmosphere if it feeds plants which turn that carbon dioxide into oxygen?

He's not talking industrial revolution soot there.

Head in sand science denial.

See, I can call your posts stupid too.

Vetteman was against doing anything about Sulfur emissions, hated lowering mercury output, frothed over cutting particulate matter and now is against curbing C02. All because it's all a liberal plot to destroy American Jobs.

Ok, but there is always going to be particulate matter in our atmosphere. Same goes for Carbon Dioxide. One volcano dumps out more pollution than we could ever hope to.

As far as massive chemical waste pollution into groundwater, that matters, but some particles and harmless gas? He has a point, who cares and what is it costing us?

Try this.

Pop pop. Watchin fools drop.

Precede with facts.

Vetteman's concern over jobs is especially ironic when you consider he's been out of work for more than a decade.

"There are about**potentially active volcanoes worldwide, aside from the continuous belt of volcanoes on the ocean floor. About 500 of these have erupted in historical time. Many of these are located along the Pacific Rim in what is known as the 'Ring of Fire.' "
-USGS

http://volcano.oregonstate.edu/how-many-active-volcanoes-are-there
The absolute number of volcanoes that exists depends on your definition: active only, active, dormant*plus*extinct*volcanoes? And even if we decide on a definition, nobody has really counted all of the volcanoes, especially the tens on thousands on the sea floor.

The best guess is 1511 volcanoes have erupted in the last 10,000 years and should be considered active. This number is from the Smithsonian Institution book, “Volcanoes of the World: Second Edition” compiled by Tom Simkin and Lee Siebert.

http://www.lenntech.com/hazardous-substances/particulate-matter.htm
Particulate matter (PM) is a complex mixture of airborne particles that differ in size, origin and chemical composition, all of which are <10 μm in size. Fine particles are desperse in air and can move freely over great disatnces. Particulate matter does not always land near the source, causing entire countries to be polluted. Particulate matter concentrations are highest near locations of emission, such as highways and power plants. Most countries contribute to aiborne particulate matter pollution in other countries.

Particulate matter is released from natural sources, such as volcanic eruptions, seasalt, or soils

So volcanos and bomb explosion are causing pollution in parts per million at far greater rates than a coal plant which also provides food for plants, energy, and jobs.

There's never been one that Vetteman didn't hate.

He would cancel the clean water act and pour that sludge into the rivers again if it meant one more dollar on a dividend cheque.

Explain how a rise in a few thousandths in ppm of CO2 has dick to do with anything.

Put that Science degree to work for us.

Nope...skipped right over that pile of bullsheeit. I guarantee that happens to a lot of your drivel.

The bitch? Still you and query. Technically, that's bitches.
