I would also recommend Rielly, Ace and Spies and Disreali if you are digging up other old BBC series ;)

Coincidentally, they've just finished rebroadcasting Reilly, Ace of Spies. I enjoyed watching the entire series.

I missed seeing many of the BBC series when they were originally broadcast ( I, Claudius was another) because I was working like a dog at the time. Beyond that, I didn't own a television set until I was in my fourth decade. 99% of network television was (and remains) garbage.

Even what they call soft tacos are traditionally for gringos, real tacos are soft and made from corn.

These days when I make ceviche, I always end up making freshly fried corn torts to stick the fish in.

when I use vanilla men for my masturbatory fantasies, imagining them to be violent and cruel, I feel mildly guilty and disrespectful for it.

Electric gates are great until they malfunction and you can't leave your house.

Y'all ain't funny. I'm trapped!

Honestly, when I was doing on the phone tech support for VF we used to get calls all the time from people who couldn't get in or out because the prepaid sim in their gates was out of credit.

I don't even know what that means.

I was still at home when Reilly, Ace of Spies and Yes, I Claudius were on! After I left home in 1977 I didn't have a TV until 1985 and then only because I needed weather reports after finding out one day that it was -35F out and I had no idea. My parent's friends made me get one, drove it home for me.
I did, of course, have a computer. First one was purchased in 1980.

Now I have a used tv that a friend gave me for a monitor a few years ago which I hooked up a DVD player to that someone else gave me so I could watch 24 with Byron. We were going to watch China Beach too but didn't get around to it.

I haven't watched real TV since Boston Legal ended whenever that was. I used to watch it with a friend. I guess TV for me is a social thing.

I never tended to watch much and then usually only public television. However, the past year I watched more tv series with Byron on Youtube, Project free TV and other places online than I had probably ever watched in my entire life. It started when I was laid up with a broken leg, and later when I get ill.

Watching with Byron was kind of fun and definitely an experience, we didn't usually watch an episode quietly straight through, there would be commentary, laughter, breaks for stuff and looking things up. If it was shot in LA, photos of where it was and where it was supposed to be, shot in Chicago there were explanations of what used to be where... that sort of thing. Byron would sometimes record the break times on Lit like a notebook or if one of us thought we needed to share it, the one usually being Byron ;)

If it there was violence, he usually pre-watched it first while I slept so he knew when to warn me so I wouldn't have to witness it. This was very amusing when he did it for things I had already seen and chosen that we see, it drove him insane if he couldn't check it out first. This did not apply to his attempts to get me to watch GOM, which I would not watch. If Byron had his wish I would have lived in a big protective bubble, except when he was trying to torture me with Kill Bill, GOM and George Carlin. I won't even start on Bhorat quotes or that Immortal song...

Since he died, I have watched homeland, the end of 24 and some of the new Blacklist. I think I am losing momentum, I suspect the last Homeland was it for me.
I am currently watching the New Downton Abbey weekly on line, but not much else.
I usually sketch costumes during it.
Too many things going on and I don't sit still well.

There are few pleasures in life as good as the anticipation before one goes to bed with a brand new hardback.

Yep, I am a reader. I read quite a few things at once but a new hardback that I actually bought not borrowed or acquired from a free library is definitely the tops. I will even go to bed a bit early for it.

I wish there was a more selective ignore so I could set it up so everytime LJReloads uses the words Feminist, women or woman, the post/thread could be ignored.
This would also help people who have issues with me posting about Byron ;)
