I like to order stuff from the interwebs not only because I don't have to leave the house, but because I like tracking the packages... errr... the parcels, I mean.

I currently have a new Showtime Rotisserie scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and a new salt lick for the deer on Thursday.

I think I'll order some socks today.

I will sit outside in the yard beside Grumpy (and maybe my son if he stops out), beside a warm fire, with soup and a beer and hand out candy to about 300 ToTers!! I love seeing all the fun costumes.

My pirate costume may or may not be worn...I may save it for the cruise, it depends on the weather Friday night.

That sounds fun!

Are you guys going on a cruise?

The original BBC series House Of Cards is being rebroadcast in the U.S. I'd never seen it before. It's compelling. Ian Richardson's portrayal of Francis Urquhart is downright chilling. They are a bunch of nasty characters.

Good god. There's another Terminator film out next year with Arnie and the dragon woman from Thrones.

I watched it when it first came out, all three parts of the trilogy.

I convinced Byron to watch with me and the next two sequels were on our list to watch. He really loved it. He thought it was better than anything currently on. He wanted to save the rest for when we needed something totally compelling to escape to.

Another one on our list was the BBC "Soldier, Tailor, Tinker, Spy." We watched the American one which he liked, but I thought it paled in comparison to the BBC one.

It's impossible to argue with your preference for the BBC version of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

That version is quite true to John le Carré's gripping novel and Alec Guinness is superb as George Smiley.

I would also recommend Rielly, Ace and Spies and Disreali if you are digging up other old BBC series ;)
