son of the isolated blurts thread!

This was almost the final day of a long medical weekend. Saturday: drive an hour to a 'health fair' for a full blood panel (after 12 hours of fasting) and super-strength flu shots. And an hour there. And an hour back. Sunday: recover from flu vaccine. Monday: drive an hour (and back) and spend a couple hours rooting around pharmacies and medical supply shops for drugs and stuff. Tuesday: Rise at 3am (and I can have only minimal caffeine), arrive at 92-yr-old inlaw's at 4am, drive two hours to Sacramento for her pacemaker replacement. Wait a few hours for the procedure, then drive back (another two hours). Wait at the inlaw's place a couple hours till her hired home-care worker showed up. Finally crawl home after fifteen hours of this. Ay yi yi. Tomorrow: recover. Try to return to normal sleep cycles. Ha.

Some of this will go in a story someday. That's the only benefit. Well, the inlaw may live a few more years.

The last three times I've gone back home, I've had to attend a funeral. This makes number 4. Enough already. I'm tired of this.

hopefully there won't be another, at least not for many years

Once you have heard the cow bell in a song, it simply cannot be unheard.

Sometimes you have to fight the fear to run away, take the leap and believe you will fly.....

(....at least that's what I'm trying to tell myself to believe....)

I'm playing an interesting game. I'm watching the film 'The Tale of Despereaux', every time they mention the word mouse or rat I take a sip of whisky. I've only just started and I'm already sensing I'm going to get alcohol poisoning!

You should check this thread out.

Not right now, as your liver would not handle it.
But later, when your cooking rat show game is done.

Best you go have a read then. *grins like a fat kid in a lolly shop*

Ah see I've heard of hackers accessing my account, see what we have here is a classic case of hackers hijacking my account. These things happen all the time :)

Quoted for shits and giggles. :D
