Like I'm not talking specifically about the gamers, or the IT guys or the ones who wholeheartedly devout themselves into D&D or Warcraft or or whatever the hell that is...or read anime or comics...

Personally, I have yet to decipher the enigma, that is my female counterpart's brains.

There's nothing wrong about you having the hots for a particular group of guys. Sure, that leaves out me [sobs, wish I had joined DD groups...] but who am I, or anyone for that matter, to judge people for having different tastes? :)

I think you meant Warhammer, not Warcraft. If we are talking apples apples. Those are both rpgs.

The OP gives one hope for the future of civilization. We all like what we like, there are biological imperatives at work, often. I realize that evolutionary selection through mating takes generations upon generations, but it has been a long time since that attributes that go into being a stereotypical jock have translated into something useful for providing sustenance or mate-guarding.

I would guess by now "revenge of the nerds" is more campy and perhaps cultish than interesting. John Hughes films did something about changing culture as well.

When Nerds came out being geeky was not cool. Now, you have guys with other attributes that could place them in a different clan arguing for inclusion in the now broadly defined nerd category.

My oldest daughter's interests have run to a band geek and a nerd. Makes me smile. Her mom claims she always liked nerds, but until me, they were always the buddy, while she dated the captain of the football team. Progress.

Because nerds run shit....esp the ones with a lil gangsta streak. Straight thug in the cradle only to find out they have IQ that has him/her embarrassing teachers by the time they hit 3rd grade.

sounds like the real question is, what is it about nerdy guys that gives you a bad case of the steamin' undies?
 
The hint of vulnerability is hot, which is what you're seeing with the tripping and stumbling a bit. Also large vocabularies get me hot. My partner is a physics nerd and I'm just a nerd. However on our first date I opened the door to a guy with a 5 o'clock shadow, fresh jeans and boots, he smoked and cussed like a sailor and I thought, well this guy is incredibly hot but maybe he won't get the big words I use.

I was wrong, he's a hot nerd and we discussed String Theory until 1am at our local watering hole.

The look turned me on, the brain made me fall in love.

I agree... But the woman who started the thread is charming... And witty... And cute with a geeky little edge to her. She can make my head spin all she wants.
