My guess is the car door bounced off the kid and whacked the cop in the face, which seems consistent with the stories being told by both sides.

I was chased down by an RCMP officer many years ago while driving the Cabot Trail quite joyously in a new Lexus SC400 press car with Ontario plates.

Apparently they had received several calls from concerned locals about my alleged velocity.

He pulled across the nose of the car and got out of the cruiser really quickly, obviously agitated.

Then two things happened:

1. He sprang out of the car so quickly that he hit his head on the roof, knocking off his hat; and,

2. The heavens opened up and it started pouring in a truly Biblical way.

Twenty feet later he is at my window, drenched, holster unsnapped, hand on gun.

His first words: "You fucking assholes from Toronto!"

It was really funny.

Key word... guess. You have no clue. And neither does anyone else. The witnesses are flaky, the governor is a screwball, and the cops are afraid.

It's pretty simple at this point. If the cop was badly beaten, there will be clear evidence of it. Crystal clear including all sorts of medical records. These records will likely be private, as they should be, and brought out at the grand jury, or in a trial.

When the video of the innocent Ute was made available, how did the mob react?

Last I checked Security Guard companies were not averse to hiring large, intimidating looking individuals of any color. For some reason, in my state I would say that the 4% black population is represented at about ten times that rate in the security field.

EVERY questionable shooting of a (possibly) innocent ute by a white cop that has a cute eight grade picture available makes national news so I figure it happens about 4 times a year.

Just often enough to make Canadians feel good about their treatment of American Blacks.
