A Missouri chapter of the Ku Klux Klan is planning a fundraiser this weekend for the Ferguson police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed black teen.

The group, organizing through the Facebook page Support Darren Wilson, has joined the KKK in raising reward money for Officer Wilson for eliminating “low-IQ Negro” Michael Brown. At the rally, the group sold t-shirts supporting Wilson, and raised over $1172 according to the Facebook page.

In addition, a woman by the name of Allison L. Wilson has started a GoFundMe to raise funds for Officer Wilson. In just 14 hours, the campaign has raised over $7,000. It is unclear if Darren and Allison are related. Nearly 200 t-shirts have been sold in support of Wilson through a Teespring campaign.

Michael Brady, 32, who lives on the street where the incident took place, contradicted the claim that Brown had charged at Wilson.

Speaking to Anderson Cooper, Brady described Brown as “facing the officer... he's balled up... he had his arms under his stomach and he was... going down and the officer lets off three or four shots at him." Asked by Cooper if he had seen, as the officer's account suggests, Brown running toward the officer, Brady said that he did not.

I think that's probably for bail and attorney's fees. Since the injury happened while he was on duty, the city or its insurance co. should foot the medical bills.
