I agree with you that liberals have made racial matters worse in the US for decades, but conservatives have also. Getting back to the case being discussed, I'm wondering why you seem so strongly convinced this was a justified shooting, even though the Ferguson Police department has never even completed an incident report on the shooting, to my knowledge. I've never seen anything like that, and it concerned me early on and made me wonder why that would be if the facts are on the side of the cop, and it still does. It's weird.

Actually I am a concerned citizen. Something's not right here. No, many things are not right here. Normally when something like this happens one or more officers from the Ferguson Police Department, in this case, would be assigned to do an investigation at the scene, which would include talking to the officer who did the shooting, to get his version of what went down. A scene investigation would also be done, involving photos, measurements, etc. To make it brief, within 24 hours an incident report would normally be written by the investigating officer or officers, and submitted for approval by a superior within the department. On approval, sometimes right away, but usually within 48 hours or maybe 72, the report is officially filed and made available to the public. That was not done in this case, apparently. That is strange, to put it mildly. And cause for concern, I might add. And I see no reason to accept an excuse like the investigation was suddenly turned over to somebody else, so the department washed its hands of it. If so, where is that department's incident report?

I grew up a poor black child. Joke, I know, but I grew up in Moss Side in Manchester. Overwhelmingly Afro-Carribean demographic. The only white people were irish or Polish. And YOU DID NOT TRUST THE POLICE. For good reason. The met finally admitted in the Lawrence report to "institutional racism" in the police force. Maybe it's time the US faced up to the same thing.

Where did I say it was a justified homicide? Remember how in the beginning I wondered how you thought those witnesses were so reliable? I don't know if it was or not, but having seen so many of these events over the years, I know that you have to wait until all of the facts are out, and they are not; but now there is emerging conflicting testimony. The mob went on the warpath thinking Brown was shot in the back while surrendering. We know now that is false.

The cop is said to have severe facial injury and that brown was attacking the officer in his car, going for his gun, then charging the officer in a rage. Is it true, I don't know. It has been leaked that solid evidence exists to show a round was fired inside the car.

What we do know is that officer has a good record, no disciplinary actions at all. A quiet type not prone to anger. Then we have the video of the robbery. Why is it important? It shows the state of mind of Brown just moments before the incident. A bully imposing his will on the owner through physical force.

The prosecutor is saying it could take two months before the grand jury makes a decision. This tells me it isn't a cut and dry case of deliberate murder. It also tells me that perhaps the initial political stance has to be walked back a bit. A different story is beginning to emerge. The real truth will be known.

I don't know how I got the impression you thought the shooting was justified, but I did. Must have mistakenly attributed something someone else said to you. If so, I apologize.

Anyway, it's obviously going to take some time to sort this all out, if it can ever be sorted out. What a mess.
