No, it's inappropriate for the governor to call for prosecution of the cop. Totally inappropriate. And totally inappropriate for him to take sides in the matter. Justice for the cop is equally as important as justice for the Brown family.
Calling for a thorough investigation would be appropriate. Calling for a vigorous prosecution is indefensible.
This thing stinks higher and higher with each passing day.
Re-read it carefully.

He doesn't say WHO should be prosecuted. Typical politician speech. Planned to be interpreted however you wish. And when they try to pin the tail on the donkey, he can say "I didn't call for prosecution of the officer. I meant mumble-stutter-bullshit."
Who else he might be calling for the prosecution of I cannot imagine. But if needs be, he has left himself an out.
Basically he called on the prosecutors to do their jobs. Really went out on a limb with that one, didn't he? (I'd roll my eyes, but that one calls for a roll that could sprain something)
