New Witness to Michael Brown Shooting

the kid was a punk thug. his FB pictures shows him with large sum of cash and guns...yeah, he didn't do nothing

I'm not saying Brown wasn't a punk thug. I think he probably was. And I'm not saying he didn't do anything wrong. He clearly did. I'm simply saying if he was surrendering he should not have been shot and killed.

I understand what you're saying, and normally I cut the police a lot of slack.
Not cutting them slack really, just not putting the situation into black and white category of kid didn't have a weapon and cop shot him in cold blooded murder.

/Thread Fucking Over

There are several eyewitnesses who basically confirm Tiffany Mitchell's version of events.

But they have done so in media interviews. You have no idea if they are being truthful or just making statements to their own end. The media has a stake in this being a racial war, for lack of a better term. It will garner ratings and readership. If you were worth a shit as an investigator you would take nothing stated in the media at face value. You would wait for a legal statement and a deposition and let her get on the stand and be cross examined.

What would you call it if Tiffany Mitchell's version of events is correct?
I call it the cop is aware the kid is a suspect in the robbery and not convinced the kid doesn't have a weapon and maybe hasn't had the proper training to stay in the situation at hand and not give in to panic and reflex.

totally agree with you. I'm also a big fan of cops being required to wear camera's. if I was a cop, I would want one.

oh, that's almost fifty bucks. they should probably go ahead and kill his family as well. i mean that's serious cash. hell, just nuke the city. it's the only way we can be safe.

you are one of the fucking obama assholes. psst, fuck off

I don't base my opinion on the race of anyone involved, including the witnesses. I'm basing it on years of experience. If you don't like my opinion, fine. You don't have to like it. We'll see how things turn out.

And I'm fully aware there are plenty of people who do base their opinions on race, and who do wish to foment racial strife. I'm not one of them.

If you open a thread up for discussion, you should be able to accept others opinions respectfully rather than talk down to them. Don't ya think?

I think you're being generous to the cop in this particular case.

Makes no difference if the cop was battered. If Brown was surrendering before he was shot and killed, that's murder.

Fuck Johnson. I'm not concerned with him.

If the cop is injured your hypothesis collapses. You cannot touch or strike a cop. GAME OVER

Maybe I am just giving the right of innocent til proven guilty as it states in our law. Much investigation needs to be done.

I've acknowledged every step of the way the cop has the right under our law to be considered innocent until proven guilty, legally. Doesn't prevent me from giving my opinion, which has no force in a court of law.

You misunderstand. It isn't that I disagree with your opinion. It is that, as a stated investigator, you have one at this point in time.

Wrong. A cop does not have the right to kill a surrendering suspect, no matter what the suspect may have done prior to surrendering.

I'm not investigating this case, so there's no reason for me not to express an opinion on it, now or whenever I please.

No darling, I was meaning Rob was being disrespectful to your opinion. I have no problem with anyones opinion unless they try to bully it over others.

Ahhhh. That is so sad when people are like that. Healthy discussions are good and lacking as well in todays ME world.

And I do see your point of the cop should not have shot when the boy was surrendering. I was just trying to give you a point of view that could explain why the cop would shoot.
