Ok I don't know much about the LW category.
I'm writing a story about a cheating scumbag who gets his comeuppance. This guy decides his wife is ugly because of a little baby weight. So he starts going online, etc. Yeah, shocking. I'm starting from this common premise. I wouldn't say it's erotic. It's a revenge fantasy. Is this the kind of story to go in LW?

Sure. It's a mixed bag in there. Whatever you do will get you some hate mail or comments. That comes with the territory in LW.

Probably not unless she cheats in response. The category is about wives having other partners, whether the husband knows/approves or not.

If it's only him, you'll probably need to pick another category based upon the acts/kinks in the story.

I can't put my fingers on any titles (the brain is the first to go, as they say...) but I have read several stories in Loving Wives about cheating husbands - some where the husband ended up getting burned because his wife was smarter than he anticipated and other stories where he kept the upper hand over a wife who actually was too dumb to see it, too much in love or just didn't care either way.

They were doing pretty well too. So despite the fact that the LW category sports a rather large population of angry dudes with pitchforks there is definitely an appreciative readership for stories where the male side of the relationship is the sexually adventurous one too.

I am looking forward to checking out your Burn The Asshole (tm) story.... :)

Test: Write two versions, one with cheating husband, the other with cheating wife, but otherwise identical stories (or as close as possible). Submit both for LW. Compare reactions.

I have one where the husband cheats then the wife does so to get revenge so it went over okay as there is a faction that hates cheating in general. But if the revenge is non sexual I'm not sure how well it will do.

Totally unrealistic. Husbands never cheat (I know--I asked mine). :)

Statistically speaking, far fewer husbands cheat than wives. Some researchers think there is a genetic predisposition for women to cheat more, most researchers think it's because they can.

As for stories of cheating husbands... I did a series of three stories from three different points of view; the wife, the cheating husband, and the man the wife had sex with to get revenge on her husband.

It got what I would call a 50/50 response from the LW readers. Some liked it and some hated it. Those that hated it, hated the cheating and not much else. My best guess is that the haters have been, or are being, cheated on and they haven't come to terms with it yet.

Oh really?

The last time I read the paper, it was the other way around.

Reason was mostly evolutionary, because the male human has a tendency to mate with as many females as he can to produce his own offsprings.
