Israel withdrew and indeed destroyed all settlements in Gaza and what did that do? NOTHING. So apparently removing settlements does NOT help and the 2 state solution is a pipe dream. Hamas does not want a 2 state solution and neither did Arafat. Hell, Arafat was 90% there but that wasn't good enough.

No, if it were me in a leadership role in Israel, I think I'd be on the side of enough is enough. Time to end the reign of Hamas right now, once and for all.

They weren't even close to 90% of the way to statehood. How close to statehood would be enough for you to accept if we were occupied for you to be peaceful and thankful?
 
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday announced that Israel was about to launch a ground operation in the Gaza Strip and called for an unconditional cease-fire.

He said that all his efforts to end the violence have failed.

- Abbas was quoted as saying " oh, big deal, we kidnapped some kids and all, but man, enough is enough"

It's called negotiation. Each sides gives until a consensus is reached. Arafat had 90% of what he initially asked for but wanted it all. Israel wasn't getting everything they wanted either.

Since then, how has life been for these people? Crap. And it will continue unless a consensus is reached. Which will never come because they don't want it. They want Israel gone plain and simple, and it won't happen.

My state is occupied by idiots who continue to destroy my way of life and have bankrupted the state. They make promises they can't keep to public employee unions and blame everyone else for their dishonesty. How close would I accept? I'd accept 80% of what I used to have and be thrilled to get it.
 
It's nice how the dirty jooz forgot about the actions they took to push Muslims from their homes to get the land they have. Fuck the jooz let them fall prey to Muslim warriors!

Then you understand how not part of the landscape they are. And that you can't maintain two classes of citizens in one area without fostering deeply held resentment and anger.

True. I get it. But I don't think one line item on a list of demands means anything.
 
If Israel's enemies laid down their guns there would be peace. If Israel laid down their guns there would be no more Israel.
