So it's Tuesday and part of my Tuesday morning routine is to sit here in my office, looking out the window. We here in Johnnyville have private garbage companies that pick up our household trash (the county picks up the recycling). Everyone seems to have a different service, which means there are trash cans set out every day of the week...

Well on Tuesday mornings a guy in a pick-up comes through and picks up everyone's trash. My trash is supposed to be picked up on Wednesday, but if I set it out on Tuesday, this guy will pick it up. I don't know how this guy stays in business because I'm not sure anyone actually pays him.

Sometimes I think I should go out and ask him why he picks up the trash of his non-customers. Other times I think I should save myself $7 a month, fire my trash guy, and let this guy pick up my trash for free. Usually I just note the situation and realize I just don't care that much.

If only I could get the neighbor's lawn guy to cut my grass for free...
