From my experience most of the women are so burnt out on drugs and or life that I would rather carve my eyes out that work in a women's prison. Not to mention that prisoners lie just to have something to do and I would not want the hassle of fighting sex accusations.

I did a small job at a maximum security joint one summer afternoon about 32 years ago. It was a creepy feeling I still remember.


I've also visited a couple of people I knew who were pulling bits. It was nice to know that I could get out any time I wanted to - really nice.


They are not conducive to warm-and-fuzzy feelings.

I've rented the jail before. But never a prison. I've done a little work here and there on prisons.

Pumped the concrete at the state Special Offenders Unit and the improvements to the Juvenile Detention Center when they did the expansions there.

Federal prisons are better because there is less (if any) rapes there. In state, you are left to your own defense. You never look them straight in the eyes, that's a challenge. You never avoid looking at them, that means you are submissive. You have to look at them, then look away casually. Cold indifferent. Avoid people at all costs and most times they will avoid you. If not, then you had better be good at telling jokes. Inmates that are laughing are unlikely to make you their woman.
No guarantees.
My understanding is that child molesters are the most raped people in prison.
My understanding is when new inmates arrive, the other inmates bet who will start crying on the first night.

I went three times to visit.
I was 12 or 13 at the time.
While walking to the front gate, the inmates behind the fence were wolf whistling. I thought it was at some of the women walking with the group. Then they mentioned blonde hair and I was the only blonde in the group.

Celebrities get protection and special treatment when they go to jail. Often times they are segregated from the general prison population.

No. Spent 25 hours in county jail though when I was 18 for some bogus accepting stolen property charge. Got OR'ed, and they dropped the charges. Probably because I'm white.

20 months back in the late eighties. Beat the piss out of the guy who assaulted my sister. Got into a few beefs there as well and have a nice scar just under my rib cage where I got shanked in a big brawl.

Long time ago, but maybe that's why I'm never in awe of LJ reloaded or Lance or any of the other 'bad asses' here when they start with the 'what they're going to do' shit.
